The Unit offers crime victims (including domestic violence, child abuse, and rape victims) help with understanding the legal process, advocacy that facilitates prosecution efforts, assistance with applying for crime victim compensation, and referral to other community based agencies that provide extended services.

Assists victims of crimes committed by adults and juveniles and provides information and referral for other resources in the community. The primary function is to assist the victim through the justice system and make sure that they get the help that they need.

Assists victims and witnesses with participation in criminal justice process.  Helps victims gain access to community resources and apply for crime-victim compensation for medical and mental health expense, burial expense, loss of wages, and pension or survivor benefits.

Provides a primary prevention program for sexual assault, violence, and crimes. Also provides community presentations, which are offered in an age appropriate manner and are directed toward the prevention of sexual violence.
