Chinese Information and Service Center, Asian Bar Association of Washington, and Asian Counseling and Referral Service partner with the King County Bar Association to provide a free legal clinic. Pro bono attorneys work with staff and volunteer interpreters to give consultation and legal advice around family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. Hosts a legal clinic specifically designed to address the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and couples. This clinic is run by QLaw Foundation in partnership with the King County Bar Association. The clinic is open to everyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. At the clinic, an attorney will meet with clients for 30 minutes and provide individualized legal advice and information. Clinic attorneys will answer questions and provide information in a variety of areas including family law, immigration, debt and bankruptcy, divorce/dissolution, employment discrimination, and transgender legal issues.

Assistance includes online filing for a New Claim or Reopening / Restarting an existing Unemployment Insurance claim. In addition, assisting with the filing of online or telephone weekly claims. WorkSource Staff and computer access for applying online and / or receive telephone contact information to the Unemployment Insurance Claims Center. Claimants may call directly the Unemployment Insurance Claims Center by calling 800.318.6022 or by applying online at esd.wa.gov.

Provides information about specialized programs, which may pay unemployment benefits beyond the usual limit of 26 weeks while the participant is retraining for a new career. Those accepted into the program are not required to look for work while in training and receiving unemployment benefits.
