International District Legal Clinic offered by King County Bar Association Neighborhood Legal Clinics at Chinese Information and Service Center
Attorneys work with interpreters to give consultation and legal advice on family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. Call for an appointment. Focuses on serving limited English-speaking Asians.
Chinese Information and Service Center, Asian Bar Association of Washington, and Asian Counseling and Referral Service partner with the King County Bar Association to provide a free legal clinic.
Pro bono attorneys work with staff and volunteer interpreters to give consultation and legal advice around family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. As of 9/2024, most consults are virtual but in-person appointments may be available if needed (more information provided to clients during intake phone call). Call (206) 957-8544 for an appointment. Appointments are typically Tuesdays, 5:30-7:30 PM.

Case Management offered by King County Veterans Program in Seattle
Provides case management for veterans, service members and their dependents. Focuses on housing, employment and living stability. Helps veterans apply for VA, federal, or state level benefits. Proof of discharge/activation and income required.
Provides case management, referrals, advocacy, and supportive services for veterans, service members and their households; focused on creating opportunities related to housing stability, financial stability, healthy living, social engagement, and service system access.
Through a collaborative case management process, the assigned social service professional will help determine the type and levels of services and resources for which one may be eligible, including VA, federal, or state level benefits.

Stand Down Event offered by Veterans Stand Downs at Clark County Veterans Stand Down
Provides an annual health and wellness resource event. Services include employment help, housing assistance, mental health, clothing, haircuts, food, pet services by the Humane Society, and health and dental information. Lunch and transportation vans are available.
Stand Downs are typically one- to three-day events during which VA staff and volunteers provide food, clothing and health screenings to homeless and at-risk Veterans. Veterans also receive referrals for health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment, mental health counseling and other essential services.

Fishline's Comprehensive Services Center offers various support programs offered through on-site partner agencies. These services include housing assistance through the Kitsap County Housing and Essential Needs Program, which provides rental assistance, security deposits, and essential needs like hygiene items. The Kitsap Division of Aging and Long Term Care offers resources for older adults and adults with disabilities. The Housing Solutions Center provides housing assistance, including shelters and rental aid. NAMI Kitsap offers mental health support groups, while Peninsula Community Health Services provides dental care on a sliding scale. Additionally, Soundworks Job Center helps low-income and homeless individuals, as well as veterans, find employment.

Provide emergency funding to low-income Skagit veterans and their dependents, including help with food, gas, clothing, utilities, mortgage, rent, security deposit, and transportation. Assists with disability compensation and pension claims with Veterans Affairs.

Use of the officer can substantially minimize the time required for processing. Service officers also assist veterans with disabilities in preparing claims for service connected compensation, hospitalization, occupational training, education, insurance, burial, death, pension, or other benefits. No assistance is available for Social Security claims.
