Sponsors a variety of educational programs & workshops focusing on current issues that concern persons with developmental disabilities and their families. Topics include guardianships and special needs trusts, long-term planning for special needs families, special health care needs, special education services, early learning issues, individual education plans, transition from high school to work, residential issues and concerns, legislative advocacy, self-empowerment and self-advocate training.

Hospice is a special way of caring for a person whose illness cannot be cured. The focus of hospice is on care, not cure. Hospice is a concept of support and care for patients who have been diagnosed with an illness which will result in a limited life expectancy. Care is certified for people with terminal illness and a life expectancy of 6 months or less by a hospice team including; Medical Director, Hospice Director, Registered Nurse, Aides, Volunteers, Medical Social worker and Chaplin.  Services include: 24 hour "on call" for enrolled patient emergencies, pain and symptom management, skilled nursing, medical social services, resource counseling, including spiritual, bereavement and nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech/language pathology, education on disease process, coping skills, care planning, and assistance for physicians with case management.  Patients provided with: durable medical equipment, oxygen if ordered for hospice diagnosis, medical supplies. Five day respite for caregiver. What to expect: After discussing Hospice with your Physician, the Physician will send orders to the Hospice.   A nurse will meet with you and your family in your home to evaluate your needs and provide you with information on Hospice.  An individualized plan of care will be developed with input from the Hospice team members to assist you in meeting your physical, mental and spiritual care needs as well as community resources to support your caregivers.

Focuses on the particular needs of seniors, those with special needs and their families. Offers Estate Planning practice that goes beyond the traditional realm of Wills and Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives. Addresses the legal and social issues affecting seniors, the disabled, vulnerable adults and their families. The goal is to address every contingency elders and their family may face with aging, illness, or incapacity.  Assists elders and their family navigate the complexities of Long-Term Care and Asset Preservation. Also provides legal counsel and guidance for those with special needs who are receiving government benefits through SSI or Medicaid, and helps preserve those benefits, yet allow for additional funds to be set aside in a trust for future needs. Areas of expertise include: -  Protecting your assets for your spouse and family when you need at-home, assisted living, or nursing home care. -  Obtaining Medicaid Long-Term Care benefits -  Finding and keeping appropriate Long-Term Care services -  Advance planning for your estate to ensure flexibility as your circumstances change -  Probate or administration of your estate or trust
