Domestic Violence Family Law Clinic offered at Eastside Legal Assistance Program
Provides free 1-hour appointments for advice on family law legal issues involving domestic violence. Attorneys at the clinic are not able to provide representation. Serves low-income residents in East, Northeast and Southeast King County.
ELAP provides free 1-hour appointments with a family law attorney for advice and consultation on family law legal issues involving domestic violence.
Attorney volunteers are not able to provide full representation or represent clients in court.

LGBTQ2S+ Legal Clinic offered by King County Bar Association Neighborhood Legal Clinics through QLAW
Hosts a free monthly legal clinic with a focus on LGBTQ issues; provides information in a variety of areas including family law, debt and bankruptcy, divorce/dissolution, employment discrimination, and transgender legal issues.
Hosts a legal clinic specifically designed to address the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and couples. This clinic is run by QLaw Foundation in partnership with the King County Bar Association.
The clinic is open to everyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
At the clinic, an attorney will meet with clients for 30 minutes and provide individualized legal advice and information.
Clinic attorneys will answer questions and provide information in a variety of areas including family law, immigration, debt and bankruptcy, divorce/dissolution, employment discrimination, and transgender legal issues.

Domestic Violence Resources offered at Crystal Judson Family Justice Center
Offers a wide array of social services and government assistance to victims of domestic violence. Services include civil and criminal legal advocacy, electronic protection order filing, safety planning, and other services.
Providing crisis intervention services in a welcoming environment. Survivors meet with a trained advocate to develop safety plans, receive domestic violence education and identify options to connect to other services at the CJFJC and in the community. Also serving friends and family members of victims, this program provides domestic violence education and tools to support and increase their loved ones’ ability to effectively safety plan and access continued services and care.
Support available includes:
- one-on-one advocacy (safety planning, DV education and ongoing one-on-one support),
- assistance with filing protection orders
- address Confidentiality Program
- access to civil legal referrals
- support groups
- access to DSHS and Department of Child Support
- emergency housing information (no direct shelter)
- referrals for immigration support
- access to criminal justice services

Family Justice Center offered at Family Support Center of South Sound
Provides services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Able to provide assistance through the partnership of community advocacy, law enforcement, prosecution, civil legal services and protection orders.
Family Justice Center provides services to survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. In addition to our confidential advocates, this program works collaboratively with our partners. Survivors have complete control over who they meet with and who their information is shared with. Our partners include: Thurston County Clerk's Office, Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Thurston County Sheriff's Office, and other organizations.
Clients have access to an array of services, including:
- Safety planning
- Basic need items
- Crisis support
- Shelter & housing search and placement
- Support in filing of police reports if requested
- Explanation and assistance filing civil protection orders, as well as court accompaniment
- Culturally competent services in a multitude of languages
- Connection to resources for outside needs
- Other services based on clients’ needs

Korean Legal Clinic offered by King County Bar Association Neighborhood Legal Clinics at Korean Community Services Center
Attorneys work with interpreters to give consultation and legal advice on family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law and other areas. Call for an appointment. Focuses on serving limited English-speaking Koreans.
Operates legal clinics providing free 30 minute consultations with an attorney.
Focus is on Korean and Korean-speaking clients.
Clinic attorneys can:
- Determine whether the client has a legal problem
- Suggest possible options
- Help answer papers, summons and requests
- Provide appropriate referrals
Neighborhood legal clinic attorneys may not have expertise in all areas of the law, but they will make every attempt to answer questions accurately.
Attorneys CANNOT give advice on criminal legal issues or provide representation on any legal matters.

Chinese Information and Service Center, Asian Bar Association of Washington, and Asian Counseling and Referral Service partner with the King County Bar Association to provide a free legal clinic.
Pro bono attorneys work with staff and volunteer interpreters to give consultation and legal advice around family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. As of 9/2024, most consults are virtual but in-person appointments may be available if needed (more information provided to clients during intake phone call). Call (206) 957-8544 for an appointment. Appointments are typically Tuesdays, 5:30-7:30 PM.
