Provides application and fee waiver assistance to eligible immigrants and refugees that want to become U.S. citizens. Offers bilingual and English citizenship classes, for individuals that need assistance in preparing for their citizenship exam.
Offers naturalization classes to prepare limited-English speaking immigrants and refugees for the citizenship examination. Classes are offered mainly in English with some language assistance. One-on-one case-management and assistance with naturalization forms, including N-400s and fee waivers, are also provided. Low-cost immigration services are provided by DOJ-accredited representatives. Attorneys work with interpreters to give consultation and legal advice on family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. Call for an appointment. Focuses on serving limited English-speaking Asians.
Chinese Information and Service Center, Asian Bar Association of Washington, and Asian Counseling and Referral Service partner with the King County Bar Association to provide a free legal clinic.
Pro bono attorneys work with staff and volunteer interpreters to give consultation and legal advice around family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. As of 9/2024, most consults are virtual but in-person appointments may be available if needed (more information provided to clients during intake phone call). Call (206) 957-8544 for an appointment. WA MASS Project) is a new project that helps newly arrived immigrants and asylum seekers in Washington State connect to services. The services are limited and free; they include legal assistance, case management, and housing.
The Washington Migrant and Asylum-Seeker Support Project (WA MASS Project) is a new project that helps newly arrived immigrants and asylum seekers in Washington State connect to services.
The services are limited and free; they include legal assistance, case management, and housing. WA MASS Project services are provided by more than 20 organizations that work together to help immigrants in Washington with their legal case as well as to find a place to live, and learn to navigate different resources and services.
