Operates several advice clinics at a variety of locations and times (including evenings), makes referrals to volunteer attorneys and provides public information for low-income clients. Attorneys on staff can provide limited emergency services depending on the client's legal issue. Areas of assistance can include: - Family Law & Domestic Violence - Landlord/Tenant - Foreclosure - Consumer and Business - Bankruptcy - Vacation of Criminal Records - Reinstatement of Driver License - Veteran Assistance - Wills, Probate, Guardianship, and Power of Attorney. Also serves as a referral partner with the Federal Civil Rights Clinic. Will direct clients to the clinic for intake, appointments, and follow up.

Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) helps people find the right attorney to hire that can help with their particular legal issue. Referrals are to paid attorneys only; LRS is not a pro bono service. LRS has attorney members in most areas of law. Translation services available.

Offers a service for those seeking to hire an attorney for representation. Provides a Lawyer Referral that includes up to 30-minute initial consultation with an attorney for a $40 fee prepaid with a MasterCard or VISA. There is no fee for a referral for a disability claim, or if you have a catastrophic personal injury. The attorneys who serve on the panel are regular attorneys and charge regular attorney fees for their services, after the initial consultation.

Provides an online, searchable directory of attorneys in Washington state. Lists specific areas of legal practice as well as languages spoken, committee/board membership status information and public disciplinary history of the attorney.

Encourages the court to consider alternatives as opposed to punishment. We represent what we believe will work best for you, and we encourage everyone to root for your success.   We recommend that if you have received a misdemeanor charge and you are required to appear in Municipal, Superior, or District Court, that you secure an attorney to represent you. Options may be available to you that do not currently seem obvious.   We will help you find an attorney.  If you need help finding an attorney, consult your phone directory or contact your nearest STOP office. We work with attorneys daily and may be able to suggest attorneys we have had experience with, who have dealt successfully with charges similar to yours.

Counsels, mediates and advocates on behalf of Muslims who have experienced religious discrimination, defamation or hate crimes. Also provides referrals, if necessary, to attorneys who can assist with workplace, immigration or school discrimination as well as other forms of discrimination.

Provides referrals to local private attorneys who can represent claimants applying for SSDI and SSI benefits, and those appealing a denial of SSDI and SSI benefits. All attorneys listed by NOSSCR accept new clients when their cases reach the hearing level (which means that the individual has been denied twice). Most members of NOSSCR also represent individuals earlier in the process, and many work on a contingency basis.
