Operates several advice clinics at a variety of locations and times (including evenings), makes referrals to volunteer attorneys and provides public information for low-income clients. Attorneys on staff can provide limited emergency services depending on the client's legal issue. Areas of assistance can include: - Family Law & Domestic Violence - Landlord/Tenant - Foreclosure - Consumer and Business - Bankruptcy - Vacation of Criminal Records - Reinstatement of Driver License - Veteran Assistance - Wills, Probate, Guardianship, and Power of Attorney. Also serves as a referral partner with the Federal Civil Rights Clinic. Will direct clients to the clinic for intake, appointments, and follow up.

Works with drivers who are facing driver's license suspension or trying to recover their driver's license and privilege.    Program is designed to: -  Identify court jurisdiction  -  Help clients understand the listings on their driver's license abstract and other related paperwork-  Assist driver to recover their license by navigating the court system and DOL (Department of Licensing), education and financial planning; does not provide financial assistance-  Educate drivers and the community about preventative measures, as well as the socioeconomic impact that a driver's license has on people's lives

Operates legal clinics providing free 30 minute consultations with an attorney at multiple locations across King County. As of 9/2024, most clinics are telephonic, but there may be limited in-person availability in Seattle and Kent. Details will be provided to clients during intake screening. Clinic attorneys can: - Determine whether the client has a legal problem - Suggest possible options - Help answer papers, summons and requests - Provide appropriate referrals Neighborhood Legal Clinic attorneys may not have expertise in all areas of the law, but they will make every attempt to answer questions accurately. Provides legal services to individuals that believe they have been served an improper notice to vacate, or disagree with the reasons given for the eviction, help with medical debt collections, drivers license reinstatement cases, and criminal history sealed or vacated assistance.

Provides free civil legal services for youth and young adults between ages 12-24 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Website provides personalized instructions for what users need to do to reinstate their Washington state driver's licenses once they have been suspended or revoked, including everything that is "holding" their license.

Helps clients reinstate their driver's licenses. Fosters relationships with courts, lawyers, collection companies and the Washington State Department of Licensing to help resolve problems.   Reviews the driver's license history with the client and explains the process. Helps negotiate payment plans and community service requirements. Will write letters to the court on the client's behalf.

Assist clients to restore their driving privileges by removing old court fines from collections. Empowers clients with resources to manage their finances and satisfy debts so they can support themselves and their families.

Helps clients keep or regain a valid driver license. Court staff can recall from collections any unpaid city of Seattle tickets that are suspending a license, eliminate collections fees and interest and enroll applicants in a payment plan. Those receiving or eligible for government financial assistance may be able to volunteer at a community service agency instead of paying a fine. Clients with suspension tickets in more than one jurisdiction can enroll in the King County Unified Payment Program, where participants pay one payment per month. Once payment has been received, DOL will be notified that the hold can be removed from the driver license.

Provides free 45-minute to 1-hour appointments with an attorney for advice on civil legal issues such as: consumer, finance/debt, employment, housing, benefits. Appointments are required. Clinics are currently telephonic. Attorneys at the clinic are not able to provide representation.

Provides an interest free, consolidated repayment program for clients with multiple traffic, parking or driving related fines in multiple courts in King County. Once initial payment is received, the program will remove any traffic-fine related hold on the client's license with the Washington State Department of Licensing, allowing clients to reinstate their driving privileges.
