Re-licensing Assistance offered at Seattle Municipal Court
Helps clients keep or regain a valid driver license. Allows clients to meet their financial obligations through payment plans and community service. Also coordinates with the Unified Payment Program.
Helps clients keep or regain a valid driver license.
Court staff can recall from collections any unpaid city of Seattle tickets that are suspending a license, eliminate collections fees and interest and enroll applicants in a payment plan.
Those receiving or eligible for government financial assistance may be able to volunteer at a community service agency instead of paying a fine.
Clients with suspension tickets in more than one jurisdiction can enroll in the King County Unified Payment Program, where participants pay one payment per month. Once payment has been received, DOL will be notified that the hold can be removed from the driver license.

Provides an interest free, consolidated repayment program for clients with multiple traffic, parking or driving related fines in multiple courts in King County. Once initial payment is received, the program will remove any traffic-fine related hold on the client's license with the Washington State Department of Licensing, allowing clients to reinstate their driving privileges.

Program is designed to: - Identify court jurisdiction - Help clients understand the listings on their driver's license abstract and other related paperwork- Assist driver to recover their license by navigating the court system and DOL (Department of Licensing), education and financial planning; does not provide financial assistance- Educate drivers and the community about preventative measures, as well as the socioeconomic impact that a driver's license has on people's lives
