Recruits volunteer tutors and matches them with literacy students at the BRIDGES Center.

Provides naturalization assistance to city of Seattle residents. Students enrolled in the program can receive job search assistance and individual tutoring as well.

Operates under the philosophy of "Each one, teach one" Provides individual tutors to help adults learn and improve basic reading and writing skills, and provides one-on-one tutoring in English as a Second Language. Learners meet with the tutor in a mutually agreeable public place, such as a library. Learner and tutor decide together the days times to meet. Also offers group classes. Small classes are also offered at several locations around Pierce County. The TALC website has additional information about the locations and times for those classes.

We support education and learning for students and seekers of any age. We help kids and teens succeed in school and college-bound students prepare for college with live virtual tutoring. Adults and seniors can pursue lifelong learning through free classes and resources. We will even create a custom learning plan for any new skill you want to try.

Offers an English for Speakers of Other Languages program that incorporates conversation, adult practical literacy and beginning reading and writing. Classes help improve reading, writing, speaking, listening, technology and academic skills in order to be successful in college and the workplace. Classes are offered at locations throughout South King County, including Burien, White Center, Tukwila, SeaTac and Federal Way.

Offers a high school equivalency program, which helps students obtain their GED and be placed in career positions, military services, post-secondary, or other training programs.

Staff and trained volunteers provide distance and in-person small group instruction in reading, writing, math, High School + diploma, GED, and/ or academic skills upgrade to prepare for training, college, or work.  Students' goals and priorities are incorporated into instruction. Digital literacy and employability skills are incorporated into instruction. We offer in-person, hybrid in-person and distance, and some distance options. We serve out of school youth age 16yrs and older. If you are under 19, you must have a signed release from the HS or district where you live. We work to provide individualized study plans along with small group experiences in order for students to get a full range of support and encouragement to be on the path to their education, work, and life goals.

Provides adult basic education, including English Language Acquisition and Math classes. Students interested in preparation for the GED, or the citizenship test may request assistance with a volunteer tutor.

Offers a range of successful literacy and language programs. Includes: - English Language Acquisition (ELA), - Basic Education for Adult (BEdA: reading, writing and math) - computer classes, - Read2Me (1st-3rd grade reading/tutoring) - GED preparation - youth education and support services. While this location helps prepare for the GED tests, it is not a testing site.

Offers individualized assistance to adults, aged 18 or older, working on improving their basic skills. This includes, but is not limited to, one-on-one tutoring in reading, writing, math, and English comprehension.
