College Bound Scholarship Program offered by Washington Student Achievement Council
Offers scholarships for low-income students to be used at Washington public, community or technical colleges, approved independent colleges or universities, or private career schools. Must sign up by June 30th of student's 8th grade year.
Provides scholarships for students and families who otherwise might not consider college as an option because of its cost. The amount of the scholarship will be based on tuition rates at Washington public colleges and universities and will cover the amount of tuition and fees (plus $500 for books) not covered by other state financial aid awards.
Students promise to graduate from high school, demonstrate good citizenship and seek admission to a college or university.
Family income will be re-checked and college admission confirmed after the student graduates from high school.
Scholarship awards can be applied toward a certificate or degree from a Washington public, community or technical college, an approved independent college or university, or private career school.
