CHAS Health Patient Services Coordinators (PSCs) are available to help individuals enroll in health insurance and understand their coverage. PSCs are certified navigators for the Washington Health Plan Finder, and enrollment counselors for Your Health Idaho state health insurance marketplaces. PSCs help individuals apply for Medicaid, Qualified Health Plans, and other applicable assistance programs.

Provides information about health insurance plans available to Washington state residents, including WA Apple Health (Medicaid) and Cascade Care. Determines if the user may be eligible for financial help paying for a health plan, and helps the user enroll.   Coordinates an online marketplace where individuals can apply for, learn about and be approved for medical coverage under various insurance options.   Offers comparisons of health plans.   Qualifies applicants for tax credits or financial help to pay for copays and premiums.    All insurance plans listed in the Health Plan Finder must cover essentials, including visits to the doctor and emergency room, prescriptions, maternity care and preventive care like cancer screenings and immunizations.   In addition, no one will be denied coverage because they are sick or have a pre-existing condition. Most health plans are not allowed to have annual benefit limits and none is allowed to have lifetime benefit limits.

Provides information as well as enrollment assistance for Qualified Health plans available under the Affordable Care Act as well as Medicaid. Coordinates health insurance enrollment events in local communities where residents can get help enrolling in Washington Healthplanfinder for health insurance coverage. The events are listed by King County geographic regions. City of Seattle events are additionally organized by geographic sections of the city. Certified healthcare navigators are available to provide individual help with comparing and enrolling in health insurance coverage and, if eligible, help residents gain access to tax credits, reduced cost sharing, and public programs such as WA Apple Health (Medicaid). Lead Agency for Kitsap County providing Navigators/In-Person Assisters who can help individuals enroll for health care coverage through Washington Healthplanfinder. Washington Healthplanfinder in-person assisters will be trained and certified to: * Provide individuals, families and small businesses in Washington State with impartial information to help them determine which health insurance option best fit their needs. * Identify eligibility for reduced premiums and assist in completing applications and enrollment through in-person meetings, phone calls, or interactive electronic communication. * Offer tailored support for those with cultural, linguistic, disability or other special needs.

Provides harm reduction services and wrap-around support for people accessing syringe exchange. Offers one-to-one exchange of clean syringe equipment, along with health education, wound care, and naloxone for overdose prevention. Includes Hepatitis C and HIV screening with referral for care, family planning services such as birth control counseling, contraception (Depo-Provera), emergency contraception, and pregnancy testing. Also helps with Medicaid enrollment and provides referrals for primary care, dental care, substance use disorder treatment, medication-assisted treatment, and other community services.
