Monitors the charity care policies of hospitals in Washington state. Charity Care covers medically necessary treatment, including inpatient hospital stays and emergency room visits. Every hospital that offers Charity Care must: -  Post a notice about Charity Care in the Emergency Room and the admissions area -  Provide a patient with Charity Care info at intake or discharge -  Provide a patient with Charity Care info in every billing statement   Charity Care may not cover services by medical workers who are not considered part of the hospital’s medical staff or visits to a hospital’s outpatient clinics.

Provides assistance with health care costs related to provider, mental health, dental and laboratory services. Assists clients in enrolling in health insurance and pays insurance premiums. Refers income eligible individuals to WA Apple Health (Medicaid). Helps pay for HIV-related prescription medications. Issues a card that clients bring to a contracted pharmacy to get their medications. Some clients have a small monthly cost share. Refers individuals to medical case managers who can help them obtain medical, housing, food and transportation assistance.

Provides emergency financial assistance for honorably discharged veterans, veterans' widows, and qualified dependents, arranges for mental health and alcohol/drug assessment and treatment at a VA Medical Center. Provides outreach to veterans. Authorized items payable by Snohomish County Vouchers are food and sundries, utilities, medical, transportation (bus), vehicle gas. Other items payable at the discretion of service officer.

Disburses limited financial assistance for women with cancer for home care, child care, transportation and pain medication. Funded by the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation.

Short-term financial relief for medical bills.  Help paying for doctor's appointments, prescriptions, and or other medically related expenses.

Jefferson Healthcare is committed to providing health care services to all people who are in need of medical attention, regardless of their ability to pay. The charity care policy is applied uniformly to all Jefferson County residents who use Jefferson Healthcare for their health care needs. We make every effort to ask patients whether they need financial assistance to pay for part or all of the care they have received or will receive.

Assists individuals with visual or hearing impairments by providing financial assistance for assistive technology or medical procedures through Patient Care Grants. Grants are offered in a partnership with the Northwest Lions Foundation and local Lions Clubs.   Support from the Patient Care Program goes to cover everything from a prosthetic eye to cataract surgery to Braille readers. Does not provide eyeglasses or eye exams.

Provides financial assistance to help veterans with housing, employment and medical expenses as well as life stability. Financial assistance is provided as part of a client's service plan. - Financial assistance for housing expenses (e. g. , rent, mortgage), eviction prevention, move-in expenses, transitional housing and shelter expenses. - Financial assistance for medical expenses, medical aids/equipment and prescriptions.

Offers emergency financial assistance to families and individuals who are experiencing a short-term financial crisis. Possible types of assistance include rent, move-in costs, power bills, prescriptions, water or sewer bills, auto repair, medical bills and others.

Provides timely emergency or crisis relief for eligible veterans and/or eligible family members. May be able to assist with - Deposit: (Residence or Utilities) one time only - Education: Tuition Assistance, books and equipment - Medical / Dental / Optometry: Once per year 12-month period - two times total - Rent or Mortgage: Once per year, no more than 2 consecutive times total - Transportation reimbursement for travel to VA or other Medical Facilities and local bus tokens. - Utilities including power, water, garbage, and propane with proof of shut off Assistance is granted on a case-by-case basis and is not guaranteed. It is not intended to provide continuing assistance on a routine basis.

Provides financial assistance for breast cancer screenings and diagnostic tests for uninsured and underserved individuals. Most grants are for the following: -  Screening Mammogram -  Diagnostic Mammogram -  Ultrasound  (Breast)

Provides limited rent assistance, utility assistance (electric, natural gas, heating fuel), gasoline, and prescription assistance. All payments are made directly to the vendor. Assistance is limited to one time per 12-month period. Referrals to other outreach agencies are provided.

Provides financial assistance for medical or medically related costs including doctor bills, hospital bills, prescription drug costs, dental bills, and medically related travel costs.

Provides emergency financial assistance to musicians and recording industry professionals in times of need.   Assistance grants may be applied to medical and dental expenses, such as doctor/dentist/hospital bills, prescriptions, addiction recovery treatment, psychotherapy and treatment for chronic illnesses.   Assistance may also be provided for emergency rent and utility payments.   Also provides addiction recovery services and support and referrals to other appropriate agencies.

Provides aid, in the form of grants and loans, to deserving widows in Clallam County. Money can be used for many purposes including medical needs, rent and utility payments. Call to apply. Cannot help with immediate needs since approval has to wait for board meeting.

Provides information and support services to people with Spina Bifida and families who have children with Spina Bifida.   Coordinates mentoring groups, and offers limited financial assistance to help with medical costs associated with Spina Bifida. Organizes informal get-togethers for people associated with the organization and others interested in Spina Bifida.

Offers temporary financial assistance and charity care to low-income, uninsured, and under-served patients of Kaiser Permanente providers. Also provides financial counseling for outstanding Kaiser Permanente medical and pharmacy bills if patient is unemployed or without other significant income.

Provides timely services to eligible veterans and/or their immediate families who are in urgent financial need. Eligible individuals may receive assistance for the following: - Food - Rent or Mortgage Payments - Utilities - Medical and Dental - Burial or Cremation - Miscellaneous, may include but is not limited to the following: transportation expenses, car repair to expedite employment or to attend medical appointments, clothing, educational expenses, certain legal fees, appliances or appliance repair.

Offers information and assistance regarding insurance plans or fees incurred while utilizing Olympic Medical services, and about financial assitance programs that may be available.

Provides critical financial assistance for military families. Examples of financial assistance include: -  Car repair -  Essential home items -  Rent or mortgage -  Utilities -  Dental   -  Food   -  Moving -  Emergency travel & transportation   -  Eyeglasses   Must be able to show that financial resources are insufficient to meet current expenses, and that those expenses are already due or past due.   Can provide only emergency food assistance and eyeglasses to individuals in the general eligibility group.

Provides emergency financial assistance for various needs, such as: -  Rent -  Move-in (first month's rent only) -  Utilities -  Food -  Transportation (bus and/or ferry) -  Laundry (provides coins for nearby laundromat Tu, 1-2pm) -  Medical costs - Showers (at the church Th, 6-7pm)

Provides emergency financial assistance for medical bills to career musicians, road crew and anyone who makes the majority of their income in the music business.

The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society can provide interest-free loans or grants to help with emergency needs such as:   * Emergency Transportation  * Funeral Expenses  * Medical/dental Bills (patient's share)  * Food  * Rent  * Utilities  * Disaster Relief Assistance  * Child Care Expenses  * Essential Vehicle Repairs  * Unforeseen Family Emergencies.   Servicemember or eligible family members who have an emergency need should contact the nearest NMCRS location and make an appointment to be seen by an NMCRS caseworker.   Bring your ID card and latest LES, if available, with you. If that office is closed and the emergency is of such a nature that it cannot wait until the next business day (e.g. death in the immediate family), the answering machine will provide instructions for obtaining "after hours" assistance. When there is no NMCRS office in the area, an available Coast Guard Mutual Aid or American Red Cross Office can process your request on behalf of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.

Provides assistance with food, housing, utilities, medical and counseling, natural disaster and death/burial assistance for veterans and their families.

Provides assistance with basic emergency needs, which may include emergency shelter or stipends to assist with rent, utilities, gas, car repairs, local transit passes, long distance bus tickets, medical care, clothing, and more. Also provides personal hygiene items, baby diapers, pet food, warm winter coats, and other essentials.
