Parent Child Health supports families in Kitsap with multiple programs. Our staff is available to provide referrals and guidance to all pregnant and parenting families in the county in multiple languages. A free, personal nurse for first time, low income mothers. Provides a nutrition program and food assistance for pregnant and postpartum women and infants and children under age 5.

- Vouchers for specific nutritious foods

Monthly benefits are valued at approximately $150 for a family of two per month for nutritious foods.
Families can also use their WIC QR code to spend summer Farmers Market benefits and monthly Fruit and Vegetable benefits at approved farmers markets and farm stores. Participants can receive $28 of Farmers Market benefits, with a maximum of $84 per family.

This short course is to prepare for or review childbirth.
Meets for one eight hour class or two four-hour sessions.

SIBLING CLASS:
Prepares children ages 2. 5 to 7 for the pregnancy, birth and homecoming of a new family member.

Offers a support group for moms. Provides case management with support, goal setting, and referrals to community resources. Matches participants with a parenting mentor. Offers information and encouragement for moms who are, or seek to breastfeed.
Offers supportive services for parents and caregivers to build loving bonds with their children preparing them for healthy futures.
Essential Needs:
- Provides diapers of various sizes, wipes and formula based on availability. Can receive additional supplies every 30 days.
- Provides clothing sizes newborn to 2T every 60 days. Takes up to two business days to fill order.
- Offers other essential items every 60 days such as Baby bathtub, stroller, highchair, etc. based on availability.
Parenting Classes:
- Circle of Security teaches parents to identify, understand and respond to their child's emotional needs. The 8-week course is offered quarterly for caregivers of children aged six months to five years.
- Baby Care 101 is a course providing expectant and newly parenting caregivers education and tools to learn how to care for their new baby.
- Toddler Care 202 is an interactive parenting series that covers child development, nutrition, sleep, potty-training, and more.
- Also offers an interactive music class for children ages birth-5 to attend with their caregiver.
Pregnancy and Parenting Support:
Offers a weekly drop-in social support group for moms with children up to age 5. Childcare is provided.
Offers parents the opportunity to have parent support, goal setting, and community resources to help them be the parent they want to be with support from our compassionate circle of security-trained case manager.
Families with children ages 3-5 can access Education Support to work on kindergarten readiness. Adults may receive ESL support.
