The Transitional Studies Program provides instruction in reading, math, writing, and basic computer skills. It offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, as well as pathways to earning a GED or high school diploma. Classes are offered in Forks, Port Angeles, and Sequim, with online options.

Supports comprehensive employment and training activities while helping clients get the trainings and certifications needed to build a sustainable career, including: -Job counseling -Academic counseling and assistance -Referrals and placement -Support with applications to government benefit programs, such as unemployment and SNAP -Employment-related training Training/Education Incentive:  Individuals entering an accredited college or vocational school program may be eligible for tuition assistance.  Proof of registration and paid fees will be required.    Referrals:  Staff may provide referrals to apprenticeship programs and help clients with job searches.   Support Services:  Upon completing the Workforce Readiness class and finding employment, clients may be eligible for supportive services at the discretion of the Director of the Employment and Training Department.  These services may include: -  Transportation allowance -  Food allowance -  Shoes   -  Work clothing (if required by employer) -  Other reasonable job-related expenses   Summer Youth Employment Experience:  Limited number of work experience positions are available during the summer months to eligible high school students.  Interested parties should contact the WIA office in January for more information. Offers Seattle office of labor ordinance and standards training for Seattle workers.

Provides a facility-based skills training program for individuals with disabilities. Training is provided at a Goodwill Community Training Center and retail store.

Program provides job training for people with disabilities.   Assessments are available to identify any potential barriers to training before training begins. Evaluations are provided for clients who are unsure of their job skills or interests. Counselors are available to assist in choosing the best training program for each individual.   Classes offered are   -  Typing/10-key -  Data entry - Microsoft Office -  Accounting -  Business English and math -  Medical terminology -  Billing and coding -  Dispatching.    Classes are three to two years in length. Students learn at their own pace. Students who miss a scheduled class day can add that day onto the end of training.   Students may learn at home taking online courses using the computer provided by this agency. At the end of training, job placement specialists are available to assist with resume writing and interview coaching.

Operates a six-month job training pre-apprentice program for youth. Offers GED/HSD (High School Diploma) completion, case management support, job readiness training and pre-apprenticeship training. Youth work on a two-week rotating schedule; one week participating in GED/HSD completion and job readiness training, and the other week learning construction skills in the shop. After students graduate they receive nine months of follow-up from their case manager to continue to help support them in achieving their goals, including placement in apprenticeship programs in the trades. Pays a weekly stipend.

Provides intake services for a tuition-free residential training and education program located in Sedro Woolley that connects low-income youth ages 16-24 with the skills and educational opportunities needed to establish a career.

Offers a youth education and employment & training program for youth 16-24 years of age. Assists low-income, out-of-school youth in improving academic performance, high school or GED completion, and career exploration.

Martha & Mary partners with Olympic College to support those seeking a career in healthcare. We sponsor up to five students per class to work with us and be paid for their class time while attending the nursing assistant training program. The sponsored student agrees to one year of full-time employment following completion of the training program to gain experience in a quality care setting. Employment planning services are designed to assist individuals in determining their vocational goals. Using a person-centered approach, participants learn about employment opportunities within the community and are then able to make informed choices about their employment future. These services are designed to assist individuals in choosing employment outcomes and career development options that are based on his or her preferences, strengths, abilities and needs. Our services offer a variety of activities including job tryouts, job tours, job shadowing, labor market analysis, community-based assessments, and possibilities for volunteering in the community. Morningside's evaluation and employment planning services are a way to help you define what type of job you want and whether that job is right for you. Services in this area help identify your interests, abilities and needs that will be important to you as you set your goals. We will also provide you with the opportunity to explore work options by trying one or more jobs that might interest you.  Working with you and your vocational counselor, we will develop a plan and you decide how many jobs you want to try. Most participants try one to three jobs. Job tryouts usually last two to four weeks.

Acts as a direct referral from DSHS Community Service Offices for refugees new to the system who need employment services. Services include pre-employment training, vocational English as a second language (ESL) classes, skills training, job placement and customized employment training in specific fields, such as hotel housekeeping.

Provides skills training and employment assistance to adults in Lewis County that have a physical or mental disability. Helps clients remove barriers to work, helps clients retain the jobs that they have, and will even hire clients at the workshop if any positions are open. Office skills training, employment assistance, and connections to mental health, social services and other supports.

Offers specialized professional and technical training programs to people 18 years of age and older.   Certificate of Completion, Associate of Applied Science degree and Associate of Applied Science-Transfer degrees are offered.   Other services include financial assistance, counseling and testing.

Offers a hybrid course that prepares job seekers for entry-level employment in the tech industry as helpdesk technicians or IT technicians with a career plan. Introduces students to core computer functions, how to manage and maintain a laptop and a desktop, and an introduction to the concepts around system and software applications. 7-week hybrid course offered quarterly at Goodwill's Tacoma campus, hybrid course meets 2 days in-person and 2 days online. Provides students additional lab time with their local training coordinator, and will offer Employment and Financial Coaching through enrollment in Goodwill's Financial Opportunity Center. In addition to a course completion certificate, successful students will be awarded a scholarship to earn their COMPTIA IT Fundamentals Certificate.
