Next Steps Program is designed to provide innovative, transformative support for individuals and their families who have been involved in the criminal justice system, as they prepare for education and re-entering the workforce.

Offers an employment program to help individuals struggling with homelessness and other barriers find employment. Program offers case management and individualized employment plans, job search basics, career exploration and job readiness training.   Once enrolled, program may also provide additional community resource referrals, including the following: -Assistance with work related costs (transportation, clothing, housing, training supplies, etc. ) -Job readiness training and skill building (resume, interviewing, job hunting, etc. ) -Job search assistance and employment retention Support services distribution is contingent on program funding and is not guaranteed.

Assist job seekers in obtaining employment and matching employers with qualified workers. Offer screening, recruiting, and job placement services, including those for veterans and youth. On site hiring events. Offers classes and referrals for people who want to change the direction of their lives but lack the resources to do so. The program follows a comprehensive family, career, and education-based approach to help students with 1:1 Coaching, Job Search & Retention, Life & Family skills, Money Management, and Vocational or Continuing education preparation.

Offers residential and nonresidential job training and employment with a focus on conservation. Programs include local community crews, an internship program for college aged participants, a fully accredited alternative high school, and a two-acre organic farm. A stipend and potential high school credit can be earned while working on reforestation and recreation projects. Transportation available.

Provides a wide range of employment and training counseling and services for youth, adults, and dislocated workers; including training, education, and support they may need to pursue their career and succeed in the workforce. Limited English Pathway Placement Services   Offers job readiness workshops, job placement services, skills trainings, and job retention and county wage progression services as well as English language class referrals for King and Snohomish adults with limited English. Assists Medicaid recipients who are chronically homeless and unemployed or under-employed with securing employment through completion of an intake assessment to determine barriers to employment and goals for employment and life stabilization. Clients work with a caseworker on job skills development, job search, career guidance, collaboration with local businesses to help secure employment prospects. Works on other life skills that may be barriers to employment success and job retention/help in maintaining work after employment is found.

Provides job search and referral assistance through one-on-one assistance. Helps clients search using the Internet and make phone calls. Provides job readiness classes that teach resume typing, interview skills, internet searching, etc.

Assists family members of active duty, retirees and separatees in their job search.  FERP provides current job listings for city, state, federal, and private sector positions; job referrals, etc.  One-on-one counseling is available.
