Operates a member-owned, not-for-profit funeral home. Members receive a discount on services and merchandise. Offers all types of burial or cremation service, including green burial and open-casket funeral services. A hearse and limousine can also be arranged. Offers on-site venues for viewing and memorial services, or can assist with arranging services at another location. Arranges for the preparation and shipment of bodies all around the world and can arrange for burial at any cemetery. Provides transportation and removal of deceased at any hour of the day or night within the local 30-mile service area of selected funeral home, sheltering of remains and refrigeration, conference with survivors for arrangements, filing death certificate, and notification of Social Security. Burial plans include a simple casket; cremation plans include alternative container and basic urn.

Administers a program to provide cremation for a deceased person if next of kin cannot be found or the family meets the financial eligibility requirements. There are no provisions for a funeral service. Decedents in the program are cremated, and then stored in a secure location at the King County Medical Examiner's Office until a ceremony and burial are held, typically every two years.   The decedents are buried in individual containers in shared plots, and records are kept for each one so that they may be recovered at a later point in time if a family member requests.
