- Advocacy: works alongside individuals with disabilities to plan and carry out strategic approaches to influence positive change in the community. Represents and advocates for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities in order to advance the empowerment, inclusion, and wellness of all persons with disabilities.
- Emergency Preparedness: Provides emergency preparedness for disabled individuals by creating a plans in case of a disaster. Helps with fire drills, emergency planning, connection with local EMS, and building an emergency kit.
- Assists individuals or veterans who are needing to find caregiver and helps with making sure their caregiver gets paid. Must be referred by the VA, if they are a veteran; if they are a civilian, then they'll get help finding a state-funded caregiver.
- Has a Covid -19 Advocate that works with individuals with disabilities to help them get a schedule for vaccines, as well as a covid-19 peer support group.
- Assists with Power Action Systems (PAS program), which helps individuals with disabilities be able to get modifications to their household to make it more disability accessible.

Volunteers build houses for low-income families.
Volunteers build houses for low-income families who have been chosen on the basis of need for adequate shelter. Selected families must contribute 500 hours of sweat equity on the construction of the house which is then sold to them through a no profit, no interest mortgage. The length of time between when a family is selected, to the time the project is completed, can be as long as one and 1/2 years.
Provides limited help for home repairs if the homeowner can contribute Sweat Equity hours representative of the size of the project.

Casa Latina workers do not provide moving trucks nor can they transport from one location to next. Client will need to provide all tools, materials, and safety equipment for the workers employed.
All Casa Latina workers have received Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training on health and safety in the work place and have their own personal protective equipment including work boots, rubberized cotton gloves, safety glasses, dust mask, and ear plugs.
Workers required to lift 50 to 100 lbs. have passed a strength and agility test.
All workers are screened in the national and King County sex offender registries.

Clients must be living independently in the home and in need of basic home and personal maintenance so they can continue living safely in their homes. Assistance that may be available from volunteer workers may include services such as: - Yard care may include mowing lawn, raking leaves, or removing snow from walkways - Light housework and laundry - Transportation to doctors appointments, grocery stores, food banks, and other essential errands - Minor home repairs including minor electrical work, minor plumbing (leaking fixtures). KCR assists income-eligible families, disabled and senior citizens by first doing an energy audit, then making home improvements, followed by energy education. Qualifying homes may receive help weatherizing their homes. Home Weatherization services are available free of charge to low-income residents, both homeowners and renters. Services that help save energy and money may include: Repair of Roofs, Heating Systems, and Water Heaters. Insulation of Attics, Water Pipes, Ducts, Underfloor, and Wall/rim joists. Health and Safety Improvements such as, Air Quality and Carbon Monoxide, and Electrical Hazards.
