Infants get a healthy start with prenatal and well-baby care. Moms (age 16-19) get vital parenting training, gather essential skills for living successfully on their own and are empowered to continue their progress in treatment, education and employment.
Alexandria’s House is a transitional living facility for pregnant and parenting teenagers and their babies. The home has five furnished bedrooms, three bathrooms as well as shared kitchen, living and laundry facilities. Alexandria’s House offers comprehensive case management and 24-hour staff supervision and is licensed by the state of Washington.

The program is specifically designed for families facing difficult life circumstances and parents who desire to develop family-building skills. Parenting Class: Parents learn the Positive Behavior Intervention Supports system, used by many school districts. Parents have the opportunity to connect on a deeper level not only with their own families, but with their peers. Kids Groups: Kids learn the life skills necessary to understand, talk about, and cope with what is happening in their lives in healthy, positive ways. Kids meet at the same time as Parenting Class.

Fatherhood Programs offered at InterCultural Children & Family Services
Helps African American fathers increase involvement in the lives of their children. Specialized programs available for fathers with children in out-of-home care, fathers 18-24, and fathers involved in the criminal justice system.
Father Engagement:
Provides fathers with information about the child welfare systems, the courts, child support, and to increase parenting skills. Engages the fathers of children who are placed in out-of-home care and increases the father’s involvement in the lives of their children.
Fathers in Transition:
Assists African American fathers who have been involved with the criminal justice system by providing employment and housing so they can positively impact the lives of their children and the community. Case managers and peer mentors meet with fathers weekly to provide support, community resources, housing and employment. Must also participate in Father Engagement.
Young Bulls Fatherhood Academy:
Weekly support services include one-on-one case management, life skills coaching, and workshops that provide access to and information about community resources, housing, employment opportunities, apprenticeship programs, and behavioral health services. Also supplies basic needs such as gas cards, food, bus passes, diapers, wipes and clothing.

- Baby Care 101 is a course providing expectant and newly parenting caregivers education and tools to learn how to care for their new baby.
- Toddler Care 202 is an interactive parenting series that covers child development, nutrition, sleep, potty-training, and more.
- Also offers an interactive music class for children ages birth-5 to attend with their caregiver.
Pregnancy and Parenting Support:
Offers a weekly drop-in social support group for moms with children up to age 5. Childcare is provided.
