King County Superior Court is a general jurisdiction trial court with responsibility for: - Civil matters involving more than $300, unlawful detainers and injunctions - Felony criminal cases - Misdemeanor criminal cases not otherwise provided for by law   - Family law, including dissolutions, child support, adoptions, parentage and domestic-violence protection matters - Probate and guardianship matters - Juvenile offender matters   - Juvenile dependencies, including abused and neglected children, children in need of services, at-risk youth and truancies - Mental illness and involuntary commitment matters Superior Court judges are available to perform civil wedding ceremonies.   Drop-in child care provided by the Children's Home Society at the Regional Justice Center while children's parents appear in court.

Municipal Court judges perform marriage ceremonies under the laws of the state of Washington during their time off the bench.   Judges are available after 4:30 pm every weekday to perform marriage ceremonies at the courthouse.

Provides the following services at the district courts: Protection orders and name change petitions can be obtained at the clerk's office  Domestic Violence Protective Orders Issues orders that protects the petitioner from abuse or threats of abuse from a current or former spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, someone they have a child with, someone they live with or someone they are related to through blood or marriage.  Antiharassment/Stalking Protection Orders Issues orders that will protect the petitioner from another person whose behavior is abusive, threatening, exploitive or seriously alarming.  The primary purpose is to order the "respondent" to not contact or harm the "petitioner. "   No Contact Order Issues orders that protect victims of crime from contact with the person accused of committing the crime.  Incident must have been reported to the police. Criminal charges must be pending. The court may issue a no contact order as part of bail hearing, arraignment or sentencing.  Sexual Assault Protection Orders Issues orders that can require the person who committed a sexual assault to stay away from their victim, their home, school, work or other places they request, and to have no further contact with them  Name Changes Clerk's office accepts name change petitions and orders for people who want to officially change their names. The case will then be presented to a judge for approval and signature.  The court will record your name change with the King County Auditor. Recording takes 6 to 8 weeks to process.   Weddings District Court judges can perform civil wedding ceremonies.  Weddings can be performed before 8:30am, after 4:30pm, and on weekends and holidays. On the day of the ceremony bring a valid marriage license and two witnesses.  Forms available online in Khmer, Chinese, Korean, Laotian, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese.

Operates a court of limited jurisdiction which hears cases involving violations, including, but not limited to: criminal misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor charges (domestic violence offenses, assault, theft, drug offenses, etc.); criminal traffic, traffic infractions and parking violations that occur in the city of Enumclaw. Does not file small claims or civil cases, protection, or restraining orders. Judge can perform marriage ceremonies.
