A community bike shop where refurbished bikes are for sale and everyone is welcome to work on their own bike using our tools and expertise.
A community bike shop where refurbished bikes are for sale and everyone is welcome to work on their own bike using our tools and expertise. Bikes range in price from $50 to $200+ depending on the type of bike. Bike classes are designed to help people work on their own bikes. Tools and guidance are provided.

Tool Lending Library offered by Phinney Neighborhood Association at Phinney Center
Offers home repair classes and technical advice as well as a tool and repair book library. Membership required for some services.
Provides a lending library of home repair tools. Also offers some technical advice and assistance with housing repair projects. Homeowners are encouraged to bring their home improvement ideas and plans and get expert help in making them better. Manages Earthquake and Disaster Preparedness classes with the City of Seattle.

Open Shop Program/DIY Bike Shop offered at Second Cycle Community Bike Shop
Provides a community work space, bicycle maintenance classes, literature, youth bike programming, and repair services. Also sells new and used bicycle components.

Hosts a community space where people can maintain/repair their bicycles. There are options for people to just use tools, receive minimal assistance from staff, or learn how to do the maintenance/repair from staff.
Helps people keep biking to where they need to go, whether that be to their job, to social services, to meet a cycling goal, or to strengthen their self reliance and mechanical ability.
Assists approximately 175 community members a week during open shop hours, and performs in-kind services to the public.
