Provides answers to questions on soils, plants, insects, and gardening techniques by trained Master Gardeners. Olympia Farmers Market Master Gardener Diagnostic Clinic is open the same hours as the market. Training to become a Master Gardener and/or Master Composter is available once a year.

Promotes awareness and respect for plants, including: -  Inexpensive pruning classes and workshops   -  Pruning educational material, including free pruning guides -  YouTube channel on pruning in English and Spanish   -  Online Adopt-a-Plant list   Coordinates bi-monthly meetings to which the public is invited.

Offers state, federal and locally funded education based programs for encouraging well being and quality of life. Programs include Agriculture Education, Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), Health & Wellness, Master Gardner Program, and Natural Resources.

Offers arts and crafts, photography, computers, dance, drama, gardening, foreign language, creative writing, music, and a wide variety of personal growth and special interest classes.  Also has a variety of exercise classes, billiards, games, etc.

Provides information to the public about hazardous household waste such as   -  Household hazardous waste disposal options -  Ways to reduce the use of hazardous materials and the availability of safer products and techniques  

Operates a tool lending library with access to over 1,200 tools to residents in the community. Offers a large selection of tools including: -  Power tools -  Ladders -  Garden tools -  Mowers -  Automotive tools -  Drywall and painting tools   Tools generally lent out to members for a week at a time. Also lends large numbers of tools for community projects and offers DIY workshops.

A community neighborhood environment with community-oriented education programming such as:  - First Aid/CPR/HIV -  Basic Disaster Preparedness -  Earthquake Home Retrofit -  A variety of additional arts and culture programs. As well a venue for artists to share their work .

Provides education to residential consumers regarding small tree fruits, vegetable gardening, composting, stone fruits, ornamentals, etc.; via brochures and other printed material, individual telephone consultation, and community clinics which are presented at nurseries throughout Snohomish County.

Provides free information on gardening by phone, email, or in person. Residents can bring their plants in during business hours if they have questions. Visit website for clinic schedules. Clinics also provide pest and weed control information. Master Gardeners are also available for consultation at many public events, offer a free Speakers Bureau, and free youth garden education. Attend free classes and visit the Master Gardeners at the Puyallup and Gig Harbor Demonstration Gardens in the summer. Also accepting volunteers.

Provides education to consumers, nursery growers, produce farmers, and businesses in nutritious forage production, insect and pest control, plant diseases, gardening techniques, and landscaping.

Helps youth become involved in the community by offering various clubs and projects to get involved and learn through hands-on activities.  4-H Clubs in Jefferson County include the following free project areas: rabbits, robotics, cats, gardening, video, disc golf, llamas, public speaking, leadership, dogs, horses, sewing, engineering, web design, goats, community service, and other opportunities.  4-H free special events and activities include: teen works programs, camps, summer programs, after school programs, conferences, field trips and more.

Offers a mix of programs that address agriculture, gardening, community and economic development, youth and families, and natural resource stewardship. Provides community gardening and master gardener programs, food safety and preservation education, and 4-H youth programs. Is the point agency for forestry-related issues. WSU Clark County Extension is a three-way partnership between the USDA, WSU, and the county government.

Works closely with farmers and community members to build a profitable farming system, to promote land and water stewardship, and to ensure that members of our community have access to healthy food.

Trains volunteers to be effective community educators in gardening and environmental stewardship. Provide information generated from research at WSU and other university systems.

Provides education to nursery growers, produce farmers and business; in gardening, food production and landscaping; via workshops, demonstration gardens, publications, clinics, an individual telephone consultation.

Assists commercial and homesteading farmers with pest and crop recommendations, as well as diagnosis of plant and pest problems. Also offers a Master Gardener program which trains volunteers to be effective community educators in gardening and environmental stewardship.

Provides emergency food through a shopping-style USDA pantry which includes pet food. Also offers nutrition education, cooking and gardening classes. Accepts donations of pet food.

Offers a Master Gardener Volunteer program training every other year and a Master Recycler/Composter training within the Master Gardener training program.

Offers advice and resources for local gardening needs.

Provides home gardening information to the general public, either by telephone or in person on a scheduled basis. Provides a training program for gardening skills; once trainees are done with the program, they may volunteer in the community teaching the skills they learned.
