The Aging and Disability Resource Center provides support to unpaid family caregivers through information, support, and services. Can assist with connecting to local resources and services, education and training opportunities to increase caregiver skills, provide free assessment of caregivers stresses and burdens, and help develop a plan of care to help the unpaid family caregiver thrive while caregiving.

Support for friends and family giving care.

Provides dementia-specific support groups for family members, caregivers and those in the early stages of the disease process.   Trained group leaders facilitate discussions that assist in information sharing, disease education, improved coping strategies, emotional support and problem solving techniques.   More than 100 groups are available across Washington state and Northern Idaho.   Specialty groups focus on particular areas of interest and target participants including:   - Early stage - Young onset, - Other types of dementia - Adult children - Long distance caregivers - Men's group  - LGBTQ - Mixed groups - Multi-ethnic caregiver groups

Provides resources, content, and digital tools for family caregivers. Maintains specialized resource guides on different topics, and operates a caregiver helpline. Helpline staff can't provide specific advice to callers, but they can suggest resources on a variety of topics, including: - Care for the caregiver - Caregiving and work - Financial issues - Home care - Legal issues - Long-distance caregiving - Long term care - Medical care - Veteran caregiving Facilitates an online caregiving community where caregivers can join, for free, to talk with other caregivers and get answers from experts in the community.

Family Caregiver Specialists help plan, assess, and coordinate services and support for unpaid family caregivers of adults who live with chronic illness, dementias or disabilities. Offers services like respite care, community resources, counseling, support groups, and evidenced-based caregiver training.

Offers support/educational programs addressing cancer issues.    Services include: -  Emotional support groups -  Ongoing classes, workshops and lectures -  Mini symposiums -  Off-site educational programs for teens - Off site education for the workplace -  Teen writing contest    Programs located in: -  Seattle -  Bellevue -  Everett -  Tacoma -  Mason, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, and Thurston, counties.

Provides support group for spouses and partners of those with dementia. Meetings are held in Mercer Island and Bellevue.  

Offers a safe place where young people can talk about their feelings, get advice and feel comfortable in knowing that they are not alone in the challenges and joys involved in having a brother or sister with special needs. Through crafts, conversation and activities, participants help one another feel special and supported.

Offers referrals to support groups for patients, families and other caregivers affected by Parkinson disease. Lists support groups and programs online grouped by area.

Provides supports to families with IEP's who are starting to Transition from high school to work/community.

Provides a group of patients and loved ones who gather weekly to talk in a safe environment, with honesty, about the physical, emotional and spiritual impact of cancer.

Support groups offered for unpaid caregivers to family or friends.

Provides individualized support services for kinship families.   Kinship care is the full-time care and nurturing of children by relatives.   Staff help kinship families apply for public funding, social work services, child development activities, school advocacy and other child-specific services.   Focus is on ensuring legal permanency for children in the child welfare system.

Coordinates Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) support groups and informational/educational meetings.  Also conducts support groups and informational/educational meeting for caregivers of ALS patients.

The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Caregiver Support Program (CSP) offers clinical services to caregivers of eligible and covered Veterans enrolled in the VA health care system. The program’s mission is to promote the health and well-being of family caregivers who care for our Nation’s Veterans, through education, resources, support, and services.

Promotes well-being and decreases isolation for those impacted by chronic illness through support and education. Currently offers multiple free online support groups open to those in the state of Washington and across the country. Support Groups include but not limited to: - Living with Chronic Illness - Living Mindfully with Chronic Illness - Rare Chronic Illness - Parenting Chronic Illness (for parents of children who live with ongoing health challenges) - Supporting Loved Ones - Supporting African Americans Living with Chronic Illness - Supporting Asian Americans Living with Chronic Illness, Body Image and Chronic Illness - Living with Long COVID - Living with Migraine - Living with Chronic Pain, Teens Living with Chronic Illness, Young Teens Living with Chronic Illness

Offers support for family members and friends of those with Alzheimer's disease and other dementing illnesses.  Group is sponsored by and facilitator is trained by the Alzheimer's Association of Western and Central Washington.  

Maintains a listing of stroke support groups offered throughout Washington state. Groups available for caregivers as well.
