Offers hundreds of classes, programs, and activities each season, there's something for everyone to experience with Olympia Parks, Arts & Recreation. Offers classes for those looking to hone a skill, try something new, discover hidden talents, or meet health & wellness goals, there are options for every age and ability. Our fun and affordable classes and programs take place primarily at The Olympia Center, which is downtown near Percival Landing. The Olympia Center offers kitchens, a large event room, meeting rooms, free parking and amenities that are available for community members and organizations to rent for private events. Also offers volunteer opportunities for after school programs, camps, athletics/gym supervision, teen programs, arts and clerical work.

Assists qualifying families in building or repairing homes through a volunteer organization. The process includes a credit check and meeting income guidelines. An agreement is made to help build or repair the applicant's home as well as other Habitat homes.

Provides a central contact point for people looking for help with a variety of needs.  Love INC screens the callers to determine the needs and mobilizes local churches to help provide assistance. Services depend on the ministries available through the churches in the networks. Assistance may include services such as firewood, minor home repairs, children's clothing, etc. If there are requests for assistance that are not covered by any existing ministries, Love INC helps to develop gap ministries to help with unmet needs. Love INC also works collaboratively with local businesses, agencies and school districts to assist with the needs of our community.

The Serenity Thrift Store, located in Sequim, sells gently used items at reasonable prices. You can find a large assortment of furniture, clothes, jewelry, collectibles, antiques and household goods, as well as holiday gifts and unusual, hard-to-locate items. On occasion, items such as automobiles, RVs and special collectibles are available. Revenue from the Serenity Store funds Serenity House activities that are not fully funded by grants, such as the family shelter. This store has three departments: the main store, the furniture showcase, and the appliance center. Pick up of large item donations can only be facilitated for donations from Sequim at this time. Please call to arrange pick up if needed.

Volunteer opportunities are available in our Health Services location. From pet therapy, horticulture, gardening, transportation, entertainment, 1:1 resident engagements such as reading, playing cards, special event support and many other opportunities.

The United Way of Clallam County is the vehicle to help people give to our community. The mission is to strengthen the community by helping people to live safe, healthy, and productive lives. United Way works to advance the common good in a variety of ways; raising and distributing local donations; working with the community to provide leadership in meeting human service needs; and being a constructive voice for human service needs in Clallam County. Identifying and organizing coalitions related to Education, Income and Health. Volunteer opportunities available.  United Way does not provide direct referrals to individuals, but instead suggests individuals needing help speak to a resource and referral staff at the 211 call center by dialing 2-1-1.

All purchases and donations at the thrift store help to support the food bank.  Donations of clothing, linens, small appliances and electronics, household items, books, movies, music, knick knacks, etc are accepted.  Cannot accept large appliances, toys, TV's, stereo equipment, bicycles, oversized furniture, tack or old computer equipment.

Operates three thrift stores around Yakima supplying clothing and household items for low cost for clients in need at YUGM. All other donated items get sold to raise money to support the work on the Yakima Union Gospel Mission. These stores are designed to give a warm shopping experience with great deals for our community and convenient drop off locations for those wishing to donate their gently used items. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses are then sold to those in need. Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor "sweat equity" into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. We need three different kinds of volunteers: On-site construction helpers, SHFH Store workers, Committee members.

Offers volunteer opportunities, including one-time group projects such as special events or essential drives. Individual volunteers support ongoing operations in roles such as donation sorting, shopping, furniture assembly, and stock assistance. A monthly time commitment is required.

Offers furniture to Thurston County residents who are transitioning into permanent housing. Ministry picks-up and delivers new or gently used mattresses and other needed furniture on Saturdays. All deliveries are based on availability. Ministry is not responsible for any furniture being delivered once items have been accepted by the client. Ministry accepts donations from the community and will schedule accordingly based on location.

Volunteers at MultiCare Yakima Memorial unanimously agree: it's a rewarding experience that gives people from all walks of life the opportunity to really make a difference. From acquiring new skills or building friendships, our friendly, helpful and compassionate volunteers feel good about helping our patients and families. Volunteering has a rich history at MultiCare Yakima Memorial, starting in 1948 when the first guild members began fundraising to meet our community's need for a new hospital. Today, volunteers are an integral part of the staff. They work with Memorial employees to enhance the service and hospitality given to patients, families and visitors.

The Healthy Foods Market offers a grocery-store-style shopping experience with fresh produce, meat, dairy, dry/canned goods, baby food, diapers, and more. Registered clients may shop once weekly and are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
