In partnership with the National DV Hotline, Deaf advocates at ADWAS answer videophone calls and emails 24/7. Advocates answer all calls in American Sign Language. If using a voice phone, you will be connected to an interpreter for duration of the phone call. ADWAS advocates listen, provide information and referrals, do domestic violence and sexual assault education, brainstorm with callers different ways to keep safe, and do formal safety planning and crisis intervention. Advocates respond to Deaf survivors through a cultural and trauma informed lens. Advocates can also work with Deaf or hearing friends/family members of Deaf survivors. Advocates provide support, education and technical assistance for hearing domestic violence and sexual assault programs and shelters to improve their accessibility for Deaf survivors who need their services. Nationally, the Hotline provides DV advocacy. In Washington State, the Hotline provides DV and SA advocacy.

A culturally appropriate helpline for American Indians and Alaska Natives who are impacted by domestic and sexual violence. Advocates are available 24/7 and offer peer-to-peer support; crisis intervention; assistance with safety planning, domestic violence information and education, and referrals to Native-centered domestic violence and sexual violence service providers. Safe. Confidential. Anonymous. 24/7.

Trained Intimate Partner Violence Advocates are available 24-hours a day to assist with safety planning, emotional support, and an understanding of the dynamics of Intimate Partner Violence. Advocates discuss options and provide information about various community resources.

Trained advocates answer a 24-hour crisis line to: - provide immediate support to survivors of sexual and domestic violence,   - share important safety strategies,   - provide information about community resources, and - offer emergent and long term support for the survivors emotional needs.

The DVHopeline (DVHL) is one program at New Beginnings. The DVHL is King County's 24/7 centralized domestic violence advocacy support line to anyone experiencing domestic or intimate partner violence, as well as concerned friends, family, or community members who are looking for more information or support. The DVHL is an inbound-only contact center. We provide advocacy from 6am-10pm daily, and from 10pm-6am, DVHL calls are automatically transferred to the National Domestic Violence Hotline. It is a free, community-accessible advocacy support line designed to meet the evolving needs of both survivors and service providers. Our DV advocacy skills and services include: -Emotional support and safety planning -Legal advocacy -Housing advocacy -Gender-based violence (GBV) and prevention information -Enrollment in Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) -Discernment and assessment completion for Domestic Violence Coordinated Housing Access Point (DVCHAP) -Assessment of needs for referrals to Community Advocacy Programs (CAP) -Information sharing on emergency, confidential, domestic violence shelters -Warm transfers to resources (e.g. Crisis Connections, WA Warm Line) -Confidential case consultation and collaboration
