HarborCrest Behavioral Health provides Acute Medical Detoxification and Stabilization. Detoxification provides medical stabilization from most all addictive substances.

Provides medical detoxification/stabilization, followed by an intensive treatment program. Program involves 26 total days of inpatient treatment. Provides individual, group, and family counseling for outpatient substance use disorder treatment. Specializes in methadone and suboxone maintenance, as well as DUII education and rehabilitation. Coordinates care with primary care physicians, social services, and court systems. Provides monthly status reports of patient's progress in treatment to courts or other referral sources. Also provides a variety of ancillary services (tuberculosis testing, HIV testing, hepatitis c education, medication monitoring, etc.).

Provides detoxification and stabilization services to help people become drug- and alcohol-free. Stabilization includes education, group therapy and sober support meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Most inpatient stays are only for a few days.

Offers a medication-assisted detox program that begins with a full clinical assessment of each guest and medical evaluation to best structure a treatment care plan. Clients meet with medical and clinical teams to discuss treatment goals, concerns, questions that need answered, and to learn what the approved medical regimen is. Each plan is tailored to an individual guest’s needs to ensure maximum comfort through withdrawal and safe, effective tapering off of substances. Once a client schedules a bed and arrives at the facility, they are assigned a primary therapist who will guide them through the healing process and the 24/7 nursing and support staff guarantees access to treatment resources if the primary therapist is unavailable at any point. Length of the medical detox program will either be 4 days (stabilization) or 8 days (medically-assisted detox). The difference in program length will be dependent on the medical assessment and symptoms of withdrawal. Medical professionals are on the clock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure safety and comfort. If at any point, a person experiences symptoms of discomfort, the medical team will address the symptoms promptly and adjust the care plan to better suit the needs. Recommends aftercare treatment, and provides a case manager who will set aftercare plans up — whether that be continuing onto a residential inpatient program or a good psychiatrist in the area with a sensitivity to addiction. Operates with the belief that: Without professional supervision and medical monitoring, it is too easy for complications from withdrawal from drugs and/or alcohol to develop, which is why a safe, structured environment is essential. Withdrawal is much more than the physical risks, however; once someone with a substance use disorder has tapered off substances, they must manage psychological risks. Continued support in a treatment setting is critical if the results of a medical detox are going to last, as detox is the first, most sensitive step toward recovery. The Kitsap Recovery Center, located in Port Orchard, provides both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment services.  KRC is state-approved and utilizes the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) treatment criteria. The facility houses 24 inpatient treatment beds and 12 sub-acute detoxification beds. KRC serves primarily low-income and Medicaid-eligible clients. It also accepts clients underinsured through BHASO funding, education and referrals to all county residents.  #### Services include:   - inpatient treatment program (up to 28 days);   - sub-acute detoxification services (up to 5 days)   - Alcohol and Drug Addictions Treatment and Support Services  - case management services   - outpatient chemical dependency treatment   - adult drug court treatment services   - information and referrals.

Provides an inpatient medically managed detoxification program with 24-hour observation.   Services Include: -  Integration into program groups -  Discharge planning and post detox recovery treatment options -  Co-occurring disorders program including those on psychotropic medications   Medically managed detoxification reduces the medical risks and discomforts associated with a withdrawal.  Inpatient detoxification can take from one to seven days and precedes rehabilitation treatment  The primary medication utilized to help the patient during the alcohol detoxification process is Serax (Oxazepam), rather than Librium and Valium, due to liver metabolism issues that can arise from these two drugs.  For opiate detoxification, a combination of Clonidine, Baclofen and Bentyl is used to mitigate withdrawal symptoms.  Suboxone is frequently used to modify withdrawal symptoms or to start on maintenance when indicated and adequate follow-up can be put into place.  Agency provides DBHR-certified service(s).

Offers medical supervision during a baby's withdrawal from drugs. Under the supervision of the center's Pediatrician Medical Directors, nurses monitor the infant's withdrawal and administer medication when necessary.  Nurses' aides apply special handling techniques to help babies relax.  Case managers work with the baby's family, provide referrals and information on the baby's condition, and develop a case plan with the DSHS social worker.    After-care support services are provided to families caring for drug-affected infants that are discharged from the center.  Provides six months of follow-up, as well as six months of support services including:  -  Phone consultation -  Home visits throughout King County -  Referrals as requested

The Addiction Treatment is managed by a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, chaplains, and addiction therapists. Provides a 16-bed facility licensed by both the Washington State Department of Health and by the Division of Behavioral Health & Recovery as a non-medical withdrawal management facility and a residential treatment facility. Placements are used for detox and mental health crisis stabilization. Offers Crisis Stabilization, Sub-Acute Withdrawal Management (Detox), Acute Care Services/Designated Crisis Responders (DCR’s), Diversion Services, and Corrections — Jail-based Services. Patients receive symptom monitoring, case management, and referrals to outpatient or longer term treatment services when appropriate.
