Provides engineering and public works inspection, building inspection services, street maintenance and operations, sewage collection and treatment system maintenance and operation, water system maintenance and operation, transit services, city fleet maintenance, and maintenance of government buildings.

Plans, constructs, operates, and maintains city water, sewer, storm, transportation systems, and other facilities for the city of Rock Island.

Ensures that the physical infrastructure of the city (buildings, water and sewer systems, roads, drainage systems, etc.) is built, repaired and maintained to support a safe, healthy environment.
