Provides mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery planning for emergency responders for major disaster events and facilitate forums with responders to exchange information and improve plans. Prepared to open an Emergency Coordination Center to provide support to field incident commanders and information to the public when a disaster occurs and provides public information on the hazards in Walla Walla County. Spanish interpreters available only during emergency situations.

Helps the San Juan Islands prepare for, respond to, and recover from disaster and large scale emergencies of all kinds. During emergency or disaster events, activates and coordinates staffing of the County Emergency Operations Center to assist in managing response activities, allocating resources, and facilitating recovery efforts.

Provides maintenance and development of disaster plans, preparedness programs for citizens and identification of facilities which handle hazardous materials. During disasters, operates an Emergency Operations Center where officials from many disciplines come together to coordinate and direct activities, which may help save lives and protect property. Serves Grandview, Granger, Harrah, Mabton, Moxee, Naches, Selah, Sunnyside, Tieton, Toppenish, Union Gap, Wapato, Yakima, Yakima County and Zillah.

Provides emergency management activities that are divided into four phases; mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Assists with the following: - Activities in the Mitigation Phase work to "eliminate or reduce the chance of occurrence or the effects of a disaster" - The Planning Phase addresses how we will respond to a disaster in our community - The Response Phase is the time spent immediately after an incident occurs that we are providing direct assistance to the community - The Recovery Phase runs from the end of the Response Phase until activities are back to normal

Coordinators present educational programs regarding individual 72-hour preparedness plans (including composition of car-packs and house-packs).  Also assist in company planning for facility disaster preparedness, i.e. evacuation plans, safety precautions for on-site toxic chemicals or other hazardous materials, situations, etc.  Free brochures given upon request when available.

The department provides support to County agencies, regional partners, oversight and management of emergency communications, disaster response training, development and implementation of emergency plans, and conducts local and regional exercises.  Offers information about disaster preparedness, neighborhood programs and disaster awareness presentations.  The center gathers, analyzes and distributes information; serves as the central hub for coordination of response and recovery activities; manages resources; and provides a link between local and state governments. Emergency Management means the preparation for and the carrying out of all emergency functions, to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters, and to aid victims suffering from injury or damage, resulting from disasters caused by all hazards, whether natural or man-made, and to provide support for search and rescue operations for persons and property in distress.

A regional public safety service agency that provides 911 and 311 public safety dispatching and law enforcement services, emergency management, and safety radio system operation and maintenance. Offers sign-ups for public alerts, abandoned vehicle reporting, and requests for public records.

Provides public safety services for life and property in Stevens County including prepare, prevent, response, mitigation, and recovery. Coordinates rapid notification of hazardous and urgent situations through the use of phone calls, texting and email messages.

Coordinates Ferry County's disaster response, including wildfires and other natural hazards. Coordinates an alert system that sends information about emergencies or other important community news. Alerts are sent based on their geographic location.

DEM is responsible for emergency management within Island County to include planning and coordinating actions for the mitigation, response to, and recovery from natural and man-caused emergencies and disasters.  DEM provides hazard information, coordinates and provides emergency training for county residents, and emergency responders.  DEM also operates the county Emergency Operations Center (EOC) when it is activated.

Offers emergency preparedness programs for the public, business, and industry, and a wide variety of training classes throughout the year. Provides information on home, office, and school preparedness for natural and people-caused emergencies and disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and hazardous material problems. Benton County Emergency Management (BCEM) is a division of Benton County Emergency Services. BCEM works to minimize the impact of disasters on the people, property, economy, and environment of Benton County through comprehensive disaster planning, preparedness education, training, and resource coordination. BCEM prepares for and responds to both natural and man-made disasters. Natural hazards in our area include floods, wildfires, and ice storms. BCEM planners also prepare for emergencies at the Hanford Nuclear Site and Energy Northwest's Columbia Generating Station.

Coordinates and facilitates emergency management activities for the Cities of Cathlamet, Skamokawa, Grays River, Rosburg, and Naselle, and for all unincorporated areas of Wahkiakum County. Also works with the Washington State Emergency Management Division (EMD) and the State of Homeland Security Region 4, which includes Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania, and Wahkiakum Counties.
