A partnership between Women United, Visiting Nurses Foundation, the Career Closet and several community partners that allows participants to select up to five items of professional business attire, in preparation for a job interview or first few weeks of work. In addition, the community partners also provide tools and resources to help with employment.
Vouchers are issued by community partners and can be redeemed at both Visiting Nurses Thrift Store locations:
- Chehalis Visiting Nurses 435 NW Chehalis Ave., Chehalis. Hours are: M-Sa, 9am-6pm; Su, 11am-5pm
- Centralia Visiting Nurses 222 S Pearl St., Centralia. M-Sa, 9am-6pm; Su, 11am-5pm
Women working to lift themselves out of poverty often struggle over a variety of hurdles. Even something as simple as a job interview can be difficult if one lacks the appropriate attire to make a positive first impression. The Career Closet eliminates this hurdle, empowering women to attain financial independence in a new career by providing work-appropriate attire and resources.

Helps support Serenity House programs dedicated to ending homelessness in Clallam County, by providing affordable, quality goods, thanks to volunteers and donations.
The Serenity Thrift Store, located in Sequim, sells gently used items at reasonable prices. You can find a large assortment of furniture, clothes, jewelry, collectibles, antiques and household goods, as well as holiday gifts and unusual, hard-to-locate items. On occasion, items such as automobiles, RVs and special collectibles are available. Revenue from the Serenity Store funds Serenity House activities that are not fully funded by grants, such as the family shelter. This store has three departments: the main store, the furniture showcase, and the appliance center. Pick up of large item donations can only be facilitated for donations from Sequim at this time. Please call to arrange pick up if needed.

Provides professional, interview-appropriate clothing for low-income women seeking gainful employment. Appointment Only. Call Friday, 9am-noon.
Provides professional, interview-appropriate, and casual women’s clothing for low-income individuals seeking employment, making court appearances, or caring for family members. With the support of a personal shopper during 90-minute appointments, clients select outfits suitable to meet their needs, free of charge. Clients may visit the closet once a year and are encouraged to return for additional clothing annually. Free childcare available upon request.

Food Bank and Clothing Closet offered at Silverdale Community Church
Accepts and distributes donations for food and clothing. Food consists of non-perishable items and the clothing bank has mens, womens, youth, baby, and professional clothing.
We offer prepacked boxes or a bag consisting of non-perishable items and occasionally breads, meats and produce from local grocery stores and the Food Lifeline program.
