Provides assistance in finding a dentist that will fit location, timing and language preferences and assists in coordinating transportation and interpreter services. - CSHCN provides care coordination for children with complex health needs, assists families to coordinate care with medical providers, to access local resources for their child, and to understand cope with the child's health condition. - Car seat safety check are also provided at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, 2nd Wednesday of every month. Offers CPR, first aid, information on using fire extinguishers and Safe Sitter classes. Those living within the fire district boundaries can receive free fire alarm installation and free car seat inspections. Also provides bike helmets and life jackets at a lower cost. Those unable to purchase a life jacket may be able to get a loaner life jacket for the day. To get the loaner life jackets, visit the district office or one of the kiosks in Alan York Park, or Pierce County Lake Tapps Park. Service area covers Bonney Lake, Sumner, Lake Tapps, South Prairie, Edgewood, Milton and the Ridge communities.

Provides a free smoke alarm program that replaces or installs smoke alarms. Provides CPR and First Aid classes, Safe Sitter classes and more. Also provides child passenger safety checks.

Provides free medical equipment including wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, bath seats, etc as inventory allows. People who are in need of equipment can call Neighbors Helping Neighbors to check inventory status.Delivery is available if necessary. There is no requirement for equipment to be returned.

Provides rides to anyone needing non-emergency transportation to the local hospital, pharmacies or local medical offices including physicians, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors and therapists. Van has a hydraulic lift for large wheelchairs.   Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.   The van is not equipped with car seats. If a car seat is required for a young passenger, the parent must supply the car seat.

Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) offer education on how to choose, adjust and install child car seats properly. Offers In-person or virtual ways for parents and caregivers to learn how to use the car seat correctly. While the Technicians will walk people through the process of adjusting and installing the care seat.

Provides fire and safety services to residents in the area. Offers information on water safety, children's product recalls, bicycle safety and courtesy inspections for homes and businesses. Also offers child passenger safety seat inspections by appointment. Provides free blood pressure checks, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons (if staff are available). Teaches residents how to use a fire extinguisher.

Car Seat Education and Assistance Program – Child passenger safety information and education is provided by appointment to ensure all children have a properly installed car or booster seat and can travel as safely as possible. Some assistance in obtaining safe car seats is available for those who qualify.

Will provide home visits to make sure that all smoke alarms and detectors are in working order and mounted properly. Also will install and replace batteries when needed. Offers a SeniorSafe@Home Program that conducts a safety assessment inside and outside of the participant's home to identify and resolve potential fire and fall risks before they happen.

Provides play-based parent coaching and therapy services for children ages birth to three. Services include free developmental screenings, physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapy. Also offers family resources coordination, nutrition and lactation consulting, baby clothing bank and car seat inspections.
