Provides short-term disaster services for victims of fires, floods, and natural disasters. Emergency relief may be in the form of food, shelter, clothing and medical supplies.

Depending on need, Red Cross provides short-term immediate disaster assistance such as: Food, Clothing, Shelter, Prescription refills, Eye-glasses, Counseling, Referrals to other organizations that help with long-term needs In the event of a large scale disaster, listen to your emergency radio station for ongoing announcements and information. If all communications have been disrupted, look for a law enforcement official. The Red Cross provides disaster assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bilingual volunteers are available to provide interpretation assistance if needed.

Hot Meals offered at Skagit Friendship House Cafe
Provides a daily meal along with a small carry out pantry for those who wish to take canned foods with them after the dinner service
Provides dinner daily to men, women, and children in need of food. Dinner is between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. Dinner is served at Friendship House Cafe, 108 Snoqualmie St, Mount Vernon. Our residents are provided with three hot meals a day.

The Severe Weather Shelters serve anyone in our area who requires safe overnight refuge when hazardous weather conditions are expected. Call 2-1-1 or text KITSAPSWS to 898211 to find out if the Kitsap County severe weather shelter is open. Those needing transportation to the closest shelter can call 360-373-3000 to arrange for a ride before 7 p.m.
Operates the Winter Welcoming Center, open every morning with extended hours during severe weather. Provides warmth, WiFi, and refreshments, and distributes clothes, shoes, and sleeping bags.
