Offers homework assistance through a designated website, live chat help, live homework help using online classroom plug-in and in-library tutor service. In-library tutoring is available at library branches throughout King County.
KCLS offers homework assistance in several ways.
Study Zone: Volunteer tutors provide free homework help at KCLS libraries.

ACT-SO Achievement Program offered by National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in Seattle
Coordinates a year-long achievement program designed to encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African-American high school students in grades 9-12 through an academic olympics.
Coordinates a yearlong achievement program designed to recruit, stimulate, and encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African-American high school students.
Recruits students annually and conducts annual Academic Olympic competitions for students in 9th-12th grades in NAACP Branches throughout the country.
First place local winners then compete with youth from other cities at the National ACT-SO finals held during our National Convention.
Includes 26 categories of competition such as sciences, arts and humanities.

Homework Help offered by Seattle Public Library at Douglass-Truth Branch
Library-trained homework helpers are available at library branches throughout the city of Seattle to provide free help with homework. Teens can earn service hours.
If you are working on a tough homework assignment or have questions about a lesson, come to the Library for Homework Help. We have volunteers who can help K-12 students with math, science, English, social studies and science. Students without homework can read and play learning enrichment games with trained tutors. You can get Homework Help most days during the school year, except on weekends and school holidays. No reservations are needed just come to the Library during Homework Help hours and bring your homework assignment and textbook. If our volunteers do not know an answer, they will help you find it.
Do not worry if you do not have all the supplies you need. We have many things available that you can use, like graphing calculators, markers, paper, pencils, and a laptop. When you come to the Library for Homework Help, let us know what you need – there is a good chance we will have it.

In-Home Tutoring Project offered by Communities of Rooted Brilliance
Offers in-home tutoring to refugee youth in grades K-12 attending Seattle Public Schools.
Priority given to students who have been in the United States for three years or less.
Facilitates a program that recruits, trains, and supports qualified tutors who are matched with refugee youth who need tailored academic support, specifically in mathematics, science, and reading.
In-Home Tutors meet with their students in the student's home weekly for two-hour sessions of individualized instruction.
Newly arrived refugee youth can receive tutoring services in a convenient and effective way that offers on-going support throughout the academic year.
The In-Home Tutoring program's long term goal is to improve the wellbeing and success of K-12 English language learners attending Seattle Public Schools through improved academic achievement, increased participation in academic behaviors, and increased parent involvement in students' education.

Provides a one hour before-school session and a three-hour after-school session for children ages 5-12 who are in need of support with homework assistance, tutoring and mentoring.
