The formula allows homeowners to earn a reasonable amount of money on their house when they decide to sell, and it keeps the price affordable so another family can buy the same home at an affordable price in the future. Provides housing counseling, budgeting and financial management counseling, and default counseling to all applicants and homeowners.

Provides direct service programs and resources to individuals and families who seek knowledge, understanding and access to pertinent financial education that result in obtaining home ownership. Includes credit counseling and information. Occurs the 2nd Saturday and Sunday of every month. Homeownership Counseling & Assistance Supports and works with clients, in the South Sound Region, during hardships that could jeopardize home ownership. Processes home foreclosures, loan modifications and mediations. Call during normal office hours to schedule an appointment.

Offers education workshops on home ownership strategies for people purchasing a home.   Also provides purchase assistance to future homebuyers. Interpreter services may be available for counseling appointments upon request.

Provides pre-purchase housing counseling, down payment assistance and lower purchase price for people looking to purchase a home. Potential homeowners agree to a fixed rate of equity appreciation (1.5% per year), and are not responsible for repaying the down payment assistance but are responsible for the mortgage. In exchange for the down payment assistance, homeowners agree to sell their home at an affordable price to someone else in the applicant pool. Retains ownership of the land to ensure that the house remains affordable.

Provides comprehensive rental and ownership housing counseling services, certified by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Counseling services address topics of delinquency and landlord/tenant mediation; and financial planning and pre-purchase. Also provides general information about HUD-subsidized programs, insurance and fair housing. Additionally, offers a foreclosure prevention program that combines mortgage, reverse mortgage and pre-foreclosure counseling, stabilization loans and repayment plans, to help low-income families in danger of losing their homes. Rather than being forced into a sale by the mortgage holder and thus forfeiting their equity, program offers borrowers two alternative options: avoiding default by working through a repayment plan to stay in their home, or gaining enough time to sell their homes on their own terms. Provides foreclosure mediation services as part of the Foreclosure Fairness Program.

Assist households with the challenges of buying and keeping a home. Offers pre-purchase counseling and education and a down payment assistance loan program.

Offers bilingual homeownership counseling for first-time homebuyers, as well as those facing foreclosure. Also offers a HUD-certified homebuying course, and access to down payment assistance options.

Provides affordable home ownership opportunities for home buyers with low to moderate incomes. Types of properties that are eligible include condos, single family homes, new construction, and remodeled homes. Works with community partners, lenders, builders, and others; prepares families and individuals for home ownership; helps households purchase existing homes at affordable rates; builds new affordable homes; offers homeowners tools to be successful; and helps manage the buying and selling of affordable homes.

Provides information for Washington residents about homeownership, buying a home, foreclosure prevention, refinancing and avoiding homeownership scams and fraud. Provides links to homeownership preparedness courses, counselors and more. Printed materials also available for download or to order online.

Provides support, resource and guidance on homeownership, including to those purchasing their first home. Focuses on Black homeownership in Pierce County. Offers workshops, seminar and one-on-one counseling sessions to help understand the home buying process. Helps clients understand the different financial programs, grants, and low-interest loans available to help overcome financial obstacles. Offers networking events, support groups, and online forums to help aspiring homeowners connect to others who are on a similar path. Allows people a way to share experiences and learn from one another. Partners with real estate agents lenders, and other professionals who are committed to supporting Black homeownership.

Provides education, information, and referral on housing issues, along with financial assistance for homebuyers and homeowners. Services include homebuyer education classes and workshops, financial education, pre- and post-purchase counseling, foreclosure counseling, down payment assistance, renter information, and guidance on maintaining and repairing a home, including home repair loans. Classes are held monthly at Columbia Gorge Community College in Hood River and The Dalles. The program also keeps the public informed about housing trends in the Mid-Columbia region using current statistics.

InCharge Debt Solutions is a national non-profit credit counseling agency offering confidential budget counseling, debt management, housing counseling, bankruptcy counseling and financial education programs to consumers, including military personnel serving overseas.

A community neighborhood environment with community-oriented education programming such as:  - First Aid/CPR/HIV -  Basic Disaster Preparedness -  Earthquake Home Retrofit -  A variety of additional arts and culture programs. As well a venue for artists to share their work .

Offers an opportunity for low-income households to become homeowners.  This includes families, single parents, and individuals. Groups of 5-10 households work each week until a home is completed for each family in the group.  Work is done under the direction of a construction supervisor provided by Housing Hope.

Offers down payment assistance loans to area residents trying to purchase a house. This loan can be done in coordination with most lenders and allows the borrower to qualify for a home in a higher price range. The loan is paid off when the house is sold or refinanced in the future. Provides counseling through the homebuying process, from preparing a budget to financing or refinancing a home loan. Helps with budgeting, financial review, and lender negotiation to help keep homeowners from defaulting on their mortgage.

Also offers foreclosure prevention counseling to struggling homeowners with or without disabilities. Counselors look over the documents, help the homeowners understand their options and talk to the lenders to try and work out payment arrangements.

Program offers education and counseling to connect home buyers of all income levels to information and resources needed. Also providing counseling and assistance in linking home buyers to a variety of different down-payment assistance programs and home loans.
