Supports renters who have problematic rental histories through training and one-on-one assistance in identifying what in their history is preventing them from obtaining housing and create a plan to address the past, start fresh.
Supports renters who have problematic rental histories through training and one-on-one assistance in identifying what in their history is preventing them from obtaining housing and create a plan to address the past, start fresh, and initiate a positive rental history. By participating in a two-to-three-hour training, clients will receive a customized training in Landlord/Tenant Laws, an overview of what Landlords screen for in a tenant, soft skills on how to resolve conflict constructively and a "Tool Box" of resources to assist tenant in successfully obtaining housing.

For the public:
- Renters Readiness Certification - offers a two part series that covers several important topics for renters. Once both classes have been completed, attendees can receive a certificate that can help boost their rental applications. Participants must attend all three classes to get the certificate
- Renters Readiness Guide - free, printable booklet that helps a potential renter prepare to locate and move-in to affordable housing.
For Landlords:
- Landlord Liaison Services - offers a partnership that helps alleviate homelessness in Pierce County, and provides support to the landlords who are working with formerly homeless households. Landlords can visit the website for more information.

Financial Literacy and Rental Education (F.L.A.R.E.) is a series of FREE classes designed to increase adults’ knowledge of their individual money habits and attitudes, saving strategies, tracking spending, budget skills and credit along with the basic skills to become a competent renter. F.L.A.R.E. counts as a WorkFirst activity for TANF participants.

Provides a 15-hour tenant education curriculum that gives support, knowledge, and expertise they need to become successful tenants.

Curriculum is broken up into twelve 70-minute sections and can be taught through in-person classes by certified instructors, over Zoom, or as a stand-alone eCourse.
These sections cover everything from Fair Housing Laws, the rental screening process, how to talk to a potential landlord about screening barriers, credit repair and building, how to maintain a healthy home, and the eviction process.
Also provides a course for individuals at nonprofit organizations who wish to become class instructors.

Provides a Rent Well instructor certification program for nonprofit organization staff. Individuals interested in becoming new instructors need to complete a 2-day, 16-hour New Instructor Training that happens 4 times per year.
