Routed Bus Service offered at Kitsap Transit

Provides local bus service to Kitsap County.

Organizations that provide fixed-route mass transit services that utilize buses to transport people within the limits of a city, a metropolitan area, a county or a multicounty region or to move people from outlying areas into a city or metropolitan area. With traditional fixed-route services, buses run along an established path at preset times picking up passengers at designated bus stops. Variations include express fixed-route services with fewer stops; deviated-fixed route services which allow vehicles to deviate from the fixed route to pick up passengers at other specific locations, e.g., places of employment or child care centers, while keeping to a timetable for scheduled stops; point-deviation services which allow vehicles to stop at scheduled stops per a timetable but pick up passengers with advanced reservations between scheduled stops; and arrangements in which vehicles have no fixed stops but allow riders to hail a vehicle which travels along a fixed route and request a drop-off anywhere along the route.

Bus Transportation System Complaints

Provides callers with information about bus schedules, routes, fares and trip planning. 
Receives and reviews recommendations, comments, complaints and suggestions about Metro services. 
Maintains a lost-and-found facility for Metro transit riders. Handles lost items such as wallets, phones, purses, glasses, prescription medicines and keys. 
Provides information about Park and Ride locations throughout the Puget Sound region. 

Night Stop
Riders may ask the bus driver to stop at any point along the bus route between 8pm-5am. Riders should go to the front of the bus and request this service at least a block ahead of the desired drop off point. Decision to stop is at the driver's discretion and may be declined for safety reasons. Drivers will only pick up at established bus stops. For safety purposes, riders using wheelchairs will only be dropped off at wheelchair lift-approved bus stops.

Customer Information Office offered by King County Metro Transit

Provides callers with information about bus schedules, routes, fares and trip planning. Receives and reviews recommendations, comments, complaints and suggestions about Metro services. Maintains a lost-and-found facility.

Walk-in centers that are staffed by information service representatives who can answer inquirer questions about the routes, schedules and fares of a particular public transportation authority or private transit company.

Transit Customer Service Centers

Programs that provide route information and other details needed for local or regional travel. Services may include driving or cycling directions; information about transportation options; help in choosing the mode of transportation that best fits a particular trip or schedule; and/or personalized assistance in planning a one-time trip or a new commute including transit routes for available bus, train, subway and ferry services, with time and connection details, and needed maps and schedules.

Travel Directions/Trip Planning

Programs that provide parking facilities with connecting bus, rail, carpool or vanpool services that enable users to park their automobiles or bicycles in an outlying central location and utilize public transportation or take the carpool/vanpool to reach downtown areas, special events or other destinations.
