Teaches 5 levels of English as a Second Language for adults for a small fee to cover material costs. Childcare (Preschool - 5th grade) is available free of charge.

LEVEL 1 Beginning English: This class is for students who need instruction in basic English - learning the alphabet, numbers, days of week and other basic elements of English. It will help students learn to recognize vocabulary and learn to form simple sentences in order to carry on basic conversations. Being comfortable is the goal.
LEVEL 2 English Language: This class is for students who know the basic skills covered in level 1. They may be able to communicate with compound sentences. They will be introduced to phonics.
LEVEL 3 English Language: This class is for students who may have taken some English before, but need to work on vocabulary, pronunciation and conversation to be proficient and comfortable in English. Elements may also include topics concerning history and geography of U. S.
Level 4 English Language: This class is for students with medium level English ability. Reading, writing, listening and speaking English are emphasized. Comprehension of the reading includes vocabulary study. English grammar is not emphasized unless it is necessary for clear English meaning. Usually there is a written homework assignment which is then read and shared at the next class. Comfort in speaking is an important aspect of this class.
LEVEL 5 English Language: This class is for students who already have good English skills. It emphasizes conversation, sentence structure and vocabulary. Discussion of current events is also a part of this class as is some journaling.

The ESL class runs September through June with open admission at any time. High School Completion Provides adults 19 years or older an opportunity to earn a high school diploma in a college setting, substituting college classes for remaining high school requirements. High school completion classes (English, math, history, science) are scheduled in the evenings to accommodate adult students with daytime jobs.
Students who test into college level may take regular day or evening college courses for high school graduation credit.
High School 21+ Assists adults 21 years and older complete their high school diploma and prepare for college level courses.
