This program provides community outreach, case management and a range of other services to help homeless Veterans get back on their feet. VBA counselors from the Regional Office visit with Veterans monthly to assist them with filing pensions and disability requests.

This fund may be disbursed to indigent veterans and their families or the families of those deceased in the amount not to exceed $1,800.00 per applicant per calendar year, not to exceed two years, unless the indigent veteran qualifies for additional funds. After one year of waiting, the veteran may reapply for further assistance with proof of eligibility. (Exceptions are burial and catastrophic expenses) Approval granted only for the following: 1. Past Due Rent or Mortgage 2. Past Due Utilities; electric, water or Natural Gas 3. Needed Food Items 4. Needed Fire Wood or Propane

Provides support services for veterans and their families in the Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Kittitas, and Okanogan Counties. Services include rapid rehousing; homelessness prevention; and support in obtaining benefits, such as counseling, employment and training, educational assistance, and health care services.

Trained resource center staff connect veterans with services in the community including Work Source and the Snohomish Veterans' Assistance Program.

Provides monthly benefit payments to certain wartime veterans with financial need, and their survivors. Pension brings their total income, including other retirement or Social Security income, to a level set by Congress. An increased monthly pension amount may be paid to a veteran or surviving spouse if he or she requires the aid of another person to perform activities of daily living or if he or she is housebound.

Monetary benefits are paid to veterans with diseases or disabilities incurred or aggravated during active military service.   Benefits received are based upon the amount of disability caused by the injury or disease.

Provides limited financial assistance for men and women of Douglas County, who have honorably served in the US and are currently undergoing hardship. Assistance is provided to veterans and their families in accordance with eligibility requirements by connecting them to the benefits and services they earned. This includes access to relief funds and free access to an Accredited Service Officer to help them apply for: claims, benefits, appeals, and upgrades; pension funds (as eligible); veteran's affairs benefits; veteran's affairs healthcare; and local relief funds.

Assist veterans, their families, dependents, or survivors with claims to the Veterans Administration.  Assists with filing, maintaining, or appealing Veterans Administration claims/decisions. Assists in acquiring DD-214 forms.

Offers VA Disability and Pension application preparation, VA Burial benefits assistance, VA Health Care applications and assistance, and Chelan County Veterans Assistance Fund applications, along with all other issues related to Veterans and their families.

Assists by providing information about veteran's benefits and help applying for veteran's services. Assistance is provided by volunteers from Disabled American Veterans.

Provides assistance in applying for all types of veteran benefits including pension, disability, burial, and survivor benefits for family members.

Will assist veterans of all ages in completing all paperwork addressing new and/or additional benefits for veterans.
