Facilitates the adoption of stray and surrendered dogs and cats. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.   Operates a monthly pet food pantry. Pet owners may apply for monthly pet food or one-time emergency assistance for 30 days worth of supplies. Pays up to $500 in vet bills to low-income Auburn residents. Kitsap Humane Society runs a shelter for lost, abandoned and unwanted animals. Some of those animals then become available for adoption. They have educational programs for schools and the general public and also do animal assisted therapy, where pets are shared with nursing home residents.  You can also search for your lost pet online, if they have it, it will be online!  This agency is now taking donated vehicles.

A non-profit open admission animal shelter.

Provides adoption center for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens in need of new homes. Animals awaiting adoption come from local shelters to help ensure that as many adoptable animals as possible are placed into homes.

The Lewis County animal shelter takes in stray and unwanted dogs and cats from Lewis County. Stray animals are returned to an owner or adopted if no owner claims the animal within the legal hold period. Adoption fees include mandatory spay/neuter and vaccinations. Also the official shelter site for Chehalis.
