The mission of the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society is to provide the highest level of compassion for the animals entrusted in our care; to measurably reduce companion animals' overpopulation and to take a leadership role in promoting humane values and education for the benefit of animals. An open-admission animal shelter that accepts stray and surrendered pets. Not a no-kill shelter, but they won't euthanize healthy, adoptable animals due to limited space. Also provides a 24-hour hotline for lost pets.

Enforces King County animal control ordinances. Maintains a list of missing and found pets. Provides animal rescue service 24 hours daily, as well as shelter, adoption and recovery services. Allows individuals to post a profile for pets they are giving up for direct adoption or fostering. Allows pets to be adopted directly without bringing them to a shelter.

Kitsap Humane Society runs a shelter for lost, abandoned and unwanted animals. Some of those animals then become available for adoption. They have educational programs for schools and the general public and also do animal assisted therapy, where pets are shared with nursing home residents.  You can also search for your lost pet online, if they have it, it will be online!  This agency is now taking donated vehicles.

Provides an opportunity to adopt animals, all of which have been spayed and neutered. Also provides animal services to help with lost & found pets and an emergency pet medical fund. The society also has a food bank that provides pet food for low-income pet owners.

Provides advocacy, education, and direct services to Grays Harbor County.  Helps by increasing public awareness about animal rights, safety, and care. Assists in finding foster homes for displaced animals, care for abused animals, return lost animals to owners, no-kill animal sheltering and adoptions, and find permanent homes for animals without owners.

A non-profit open admission animal shelter.

Facilitates the adoption of stray and surrendered dogs and cats. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.   Operates a monthly pet food pantry. Pet owners may apply for monthly pet food or one-time emergency assistance for 30 days worth of supplies. Pays up to $500 in vet bills to low-income Auburn residents. Provides temporary housing and care for owned pets if the owner is temporarily unable to care for their pets.

Accepts owner-surrendered animals to find permanent homes. Provides homeless animal care and adopts companion animals to adults 18 and older. Also accepts donations of dog/cat food, linens, bedding, dog/cat items, dog/cat treats, and other items to then distribute to pets in need while supplies last. Volunteer opportunities available.

Peninsula Friends of Animals works to prevent the birth of unwanted cats and dogs through progressive spay/neuter and educational programs. PFOA also works to place as many homeless, neglected, and abused animals as possible in safe, loving, permanent homes.

Enforces animal regulations, handles injured or dangerous animal complaints within the city limits of Everett.  Provides licenses (for purchase) and an animal shelter for multiple municipalities and unincorporated Snohomish County.

The Lewis County animal shelter takes in stray and unwanted dogs and cats from Lewis County. Stray animals are returned to an owner or adopted if no owner claims the animal within the legal hold period. Adoption fees include mandatory spay/neuter and vaccinations. Also the official shelter site for Chehalis.
