Provides a 16 bed Evaluation &Treatment center in a secure setting, designed to provide immediate assistance with acute psychiatric problems. Services include medication management, therapy, milieu treatment, and community referral. All admissions are arranged through the DCR, and hospitals there are no self referrals. Individuals leaving the facility will have assistance with development of a discharge plan designed to sustain and build upon gains achieved while in treatment.

Provides assistance to people actively thinking about suicide or other self-harming behavior as well as those calling on their behalf. Also assists callers in need of an evaluation by a mental health professional for safety planning. Trained triage clinicians will assess and provide appropriate referrals and/or dispatch mobile teams or Designated Crisis Responders.

Provides timely access to behavioral health services for adults 18 and over presenting in a mental health crisis. Program is designed as an alternative treatment setting for those who need urgent (same day) intervention, but do not necessarily require the services of the emergency room. Does not assist with court ordered evaluations.

The Access Center is the single point of entry for any service at Greater Lakes. A trained mental health specialist will be ready to discuss individual needs and assist in scheduling an appointment at any of Greater Lakes' locations. They also determine when crisis services are needed or when referrals to another community agency or resources are more appropriate.

Operates a crisis hotline to help those who are having suicidal thoughts, are worried about a friend or loved one, or would like emotional support. Provides crisis emergency services and referrals to mental health professionals. Mobile Crisis Intervention Team provides immediate crisis intervention services in the community, or on an in-person basis. Designated Crisis Responders provide crisis intervention services and/or conduct intensive mental health evaluations to determine the need for more intensive mental health treatment.

DBH is the Salish BHO East Jefferson County authorizing agent for all Medicaid inpatient services.
