DUI Evaluations Provides a court-ordered assessment of individuals who have been charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol to evaluate the severity of their problem and make a recommendation to the court regarding appropriate intervention services. Using various tests, screens, and questionnaires the counselor gathers data revealing the extent of the client's involvement with alcohol and other drugs. The client’s point of view of his/her substance use, and other verifiable, or objective data (e.g., BAL at time of arrest, driving abstract, etc.) are needed to make the diagnosis. Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) laws mandate that all persons convicted of DUI/PC shall complete a Substance Use Assessment at a DOH Behavioral Health approved facility. MERIT is a WA State approved facility for DOL Assessment, ADIS, Treatment, and Completion Reporting.

Provides the following outpatient chemical dependency services.  

Stillaguamish Tribe Behavioral Health Program offers Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Services as well as Mental Health Services by using a combination of treatment techniques including, but not limited to: 12-step; Mental health assessment and counseling services; Group meetings; Smoking cessation; Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Offers outpatient substance use disorder treatment including individual and group counseling and alcohol & drug information school. Refers to inpatient treatment as well as substance use support groups such as AA and NA.

Provides State-Certified substance use services including Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Treatment, referrals to inpatient SUD services when indicated at initial assessment, and Level 1 Outpatient Treatment. Outpatient services include individual and group sessions and up to a one-year curriculum program dependent on each individual's stage of change. We also offer a two-year deferred prosecution service.

DUI Evaluations Provides a court-ordered assessment of individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol to evaluate the severity of their problem and make a recommendation to the court regarding appropriate treatment.   Outpatient Treatment Provides outpatient substance use disorder services that usually requires fewer than nine hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development). Length of service can be anywhere between six months to two years depending on the needs of the individual and/or court order. Intensive Outpatient Treatment   Provides outpatient substance use disorder services that usually requires 9-20 hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development).   Anger Management Counseling Programs that provide educational and/or therapeutic opportunities for people who are interested in or who need to learn how to deal with their anger in a positive, functional way. Participants may include people who internalize their anger as well as those who act it out verbally or in behavior toward friends, family, children, employers or other people in their lives. Included are court-ordered and voluntary programs for people who are involved in domestic violence or child abuse as well as general workshops for people who are uncomfortable with the way they express their anger.   Domestic Violence Counseling Programs that provide individual, conjoint, family or group treatment for individuals who are being physically, sexually and/or emotionally abused by their partners, and/or for perpetrators. Included are programs that provide therapeutic interventions for married couples, people who have live-in mates and/or gay and lesbian couples who are experiencing problems with abuse.

Provides individualized treatment plans; DUI and Chemical Dependency Assessments; Outpatient Services; Intensive Outpatient Services; Alcohol and Drug Information School; Individual and Group Therapy; Help with family and personal conflicts; and Connection with legal, employment, and family services as needed.

Phase I:  -  Program consists of individual counseling, alcohol and drug education, and group therapy. -  Meets five evenings weekly over four weeks for adult program, three evenings weekly over eight weeks for adolescent program.    Phase II:  -  Meets one night per week.  -  Adult program lasts 26 weeks, adolescent program 10 weeks.  -  Includes ongoing group therapy sessions and family group counseling.  -  Day program is also available.   Individual, group counseling is available.   Group therapy is monitored for deferred prosecution. Court Referral Service evaluates client's involvement with alcohol and other drugs, and recommends an appropriate course of action.   Provides DUI Assessments.

Provides behavioral health services and supplemental services. Services include: Evaluation/Assessment/Recommendation Provides the initial components of the treatment programs (SUD, DV & MH). The process involves diagnostic testing, psychosocial history development, and clinical interview to determine the level and dimension of treatment appropriate for the individual. Hosts Victims' Impact/Witness Panels. Intensive Outpatient Treatment Offers a program that consists of a minimum of 72 hours of intensive therapy over a 12-week period. Sessions are held on three separate days of each week, and average three hours in length. Issues and behaviors are the locus with inpatient placement as a consideration. Standard Outpatient Treatment Offers a myriad of individualized treatment plans ranging from 1-hour to 3-hour group sessions. Frequency of treatment can range from daily to weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Placement is based on ASAM criteria as evidenced by the individuals situation and diagnostic criteria. Relapse Prevention Treatment Facilitates a program is 16 weeks in length; it consists of weekly 1&1/2-hour group sessions and bi-weekly 1-hour individual sessions. Specific interventions are used to address prior treatment failure. They include recognizing signs and symptoms of relapse or Building Up to Drink (BUD) behavior, and the development of stop signs and control methods to prevent relapse. Mental Health Treatment Treatment services vary in length depending on the patient's needs. All sessions are done on an individual basis and scheduled as the patient attends. T his program focuses on underlying mood or personality disorders that may have caused the person to exhibit objectionable behavior. Domestic Violence Intervention Treatment Provides a treatment for domestic violence is based on Washington State Administrative Codes. Abusive power and control issues in a relationship that often-times result in physical or emotional battery is the focus. Addresses anger management issues separate and distinct from domestic violence treatment milieus. Offers a weekly multiple offender MRT program. Offers Alcohol Drug Information School (ADIS), and Consumer Awareness Programs. STOP’s service delivery approach is to provide for a seamless transition for clients from the initial needs assessment and evaluation process to program intake and eventual completion of treatment. The advantage that STOP has over most other like-kind organizations is that its programs can produce first-rate professional reports on client results within the same day or shortly thereafter. Believes in giving clients a social opportunity to succeed at treatment (thus the name: Social Treatment Opportunity Programs); therefore, dismissal from treatment is considered as a final resort. Believe in providing first-rate service and employs patient satisfaction survey to measure the outcome of their efforts. The surveys are based on a five-point Likert scale; with a treatment goal of achieving at least a score of four points.

HPWC is a state certified behavioral health agency that provides substance use assessments in English and Spanish for DUI's, Court-mandated, Federal Probation, and Deferred Prosecution as well as self-referred. We also provide state certified DVIT assessments, anger management assessments, and mental health assessments. HPWC has treatment programs that consist of Outpatient Level 1, Outpatient IOP, Outpatient PHP, and 2-year Deferred Prosecution. We are also a provider for Foundational Community Supports for clients on Medicaid.
