Recovery Navigator Program offered at Pierce County Alliance
Offers help finding hope now. Supports those overcoming life challenges caused by mental health and/or substance use. Offers support and access to medication-assisted therapy, health/safety resources, basic needs and more. Program is voluntary, no treatment or UA’s required.
Offers free help finding hope right now. Supports people working to overcome life challenges caused by mental health and/or substance use.
Offers personal support and access to medication-assisted therapy, health and safety resources, food, housing, job training, treatment and other services as needs come up. This program is completely voluntary and does not require enrollment in treatment or clean UAs.
Serves people who have been failed by existing systems. Our philosophy of less harm, more time, more care, and more adaptability helps people see possibilities in recovery from substance use, no matter how much they use or for how long they have used.
Respond to people who haven’t found the right help in balancing the role of substances in their lives. Recognize that many people have deep experiences of trauma, cognitive disabilities, persistent poverty, and often lifelong experiences of racism, betrayal, perceived failure, and harsh punishment. Meets people where they are and join them on the journey of building life on their terms.

Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment offered at the Right Step
Offers several outpatient chemical dependency treatment programs that vary in intensity and length. Day and evening, individual and group sessions are available. Provides a women's group, relapse prevention and extended education.

Alcohol & Drug Information School
State-approved instruction fulfills legal requirements for individuals court-referred to attend an Alcohol Drug Information School (ADIS). The educational, 8-hour course provides students with valuable information about alcohol and other drugs. The course is designed to enhance responsible decision-making with regards to alcohol and other drug use. Students are encouraged to explore the effects of alcohol and other drug use on themselves, their families and their world.
DUI Evaluations
Provides a court-ordered assessment of individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol to evaluate the severity of their problem and make a recommendation to the court regarding appropriate treatment.
Outpatient Treatment
Provides outpatient substance use services that usually requires fewer than nine hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development). Length of service can be anywhere between six months to two years depending on the needs of the individual and/or court order.

Adult Diversion
Adolescent Behavioral Health Treatment offered by True North - ESD 113 - Shelton
Provides adolescent drug & alcohol assessments, outpatient substance use disorder services, and relapse prevention through individual, group and family therapy. Also offers brief intervention treatment and case management.
Assessment - a comprehensive, face-to-face diagnostic interview to identify areas of concern as described by the individual. We collect a social, behavioral, and mental health history, document the student's history of involvement with alcohol and other drugs, as well as any other health concerns. Assessment starts the development of an individualized service plan.
Intervention - a formal response to behavioral health risks intended to increase understanding of chemical dependency and to identify and reduce risk factors associated with developing substance use disorder.
Treatment - Outpatient services are are guided by an individualized, formal treatment plan and vary in intensity and duration. Services include individual, group, and/or family counseling.
Continuing Care - Provides ongoing support, reinforcement, and case management for individuals who are attempting to maintain a recovery lifestyle and are at risk for relapse or other behavioral problems.
Several locations offer mental health services in addition to substance use disorder services.

Panels include a comprehensive audio/visual presentation including personal stories from victims who have been seriously injured or had family members killed by those driving under the influence of alcohol.
The presenters share information about the impact of their losses physically, emotionally and financially as a result of the actions of the drunk driver.
The climate of the panel is not accusatory or blaming in tone but rather is focused on helping those with a DUI offense on their record realize the unintended trauma their choices may have on other people.

The Partial Hospitalization Program is a Level II.5 outpatient program that provides focus on the special needs of adults who are ready to transition or step down from medically based inpatient care. Length of stay can range from days to a week with an average stay of 10 days. The program includes a noon lunch and treatment services from 8am-4:30pm. Service plans can be customized to best meet the needs of the individual.
