Program designed to help pregnant women receive the medical and social services they may need. All pregnant women covered under Medicaid (WA Apple Health) are eligible for services. Offers a team that helps advise and support mothers through their pregnancy. Team includes a: - Registered Nurse - Nutritionist - Behavioral Health Specialist - Community Health Worker - an Infant Case Manager. Services are provided wherever convenient for participants whether that be in home, clinic or in the community. Services may include, but are not limited to: - free pregnancy testing - assistance in obtaining early and regular medical care - assistance in applying for Medicaid Medical Insurance/Apple Health - nursing information and education about pregnancy, labor and delivery - diet and nutrition counseling - information and education about baby care and parenting skills - assistance in accessing dental and vision care - childbirth education classes - care seat safety and car seats - family planning services - assistance in obtaining paternity information - assistance with housing - transportation to all medical and dental appointments - substance abuse counseling - lactation, breastfeeding support and breast pumps - free crib program - perinatal, prenatal and postpartum anxiety/depression support and counseling.

Offers CPR, first aid, information on using fire extinguishers and Safe Sitter classes. Those living within the fire district boundaries can receive free fire alarm installation and free car seat inspections. Also provides bike helmets and life jackets at a lower cost. Those unable to purchase a life jacket may be able to get a loaner life jacket for the day. To get the loaner life jackets, visit the district office or one of the kiosks in Alan York Park, or Pierce County Lake Tapps Park. Service area covers Bonney Lake, Sumner, Lake Tapps, South Prairie, Edgewood, Milton and the Ridge communities.

Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) offer education on how to choose, adjust and install child car seats properly. Offers In-person or virtual ways for parents and caregivers to learn how to use the car seat correctly. While the Technicians will walk people through the process of adjusting and installing the care seat.

Provides free safe sleep education via "Safe Sleep 101" classes, sleep sacks and new portable cribs to families. These classes are taught online, live via Zoom. Classes are geared for anyone caring for an infant such as parents, grandparents, babysitters, health professionals, childcare providers and anyone else who would like to be updated on the recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics. Every family will be mailed a new, size-appropriate wearable blanket aka SleepSack. Provides child passenger safety education via "Car Seat 101" classes. These classes are taught online, live via Zoom by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Classes are geared for anyone caring for or transporting a child such as parents, grandparents, babysitters, health professionals, childcare providers and anyone else who would like to be updated on best practices for transporting children. May be able to provide car seats to families able to travel to Coeur d'Alene, ID. Provides free infant/child first aid CPR and newborn care education via "Child Safety 101". This class is taught online, live via Zoom by a Certified Childbirth Educator and American Heart Association Certified Trainer for CPR/First Aid. Provides free Childbirth Class Series, taught live via Zoom by a certified childbirth educator. Provides free Breastfeeding 101 class live, via Zoom taught by a certified breastfeeding educator. Offers professional training for first responders in Infant Death Scene Investigations.
