Early intervention includes screening and evaluation, service coordination, therapy, and education for the child and family. Services are provided to every eligible family, regardless of their ability to pay.

Center-based therapy program provides physical and occupational therapy and speech therapy.   In-home services may be arranged.   Services include individual therapy sessions to address specific developmental difficulties; parents are encouraged to ask questions, express concerns, and share hopes with center staff and other parents. Headstart preschool which serves 48 low-income children; runs May through November. An ECEAP preschool which serves low income children; runs October through May.

Provides play-based parent coaching and therapy services for children ages birth to three. Services include free developmental screenings, physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapy. Also offers family resources coordination, nutrition and lactation consulting, baby clothing bank and car seat inspections.

The Bridge program offers immediate supports to children birth to 48 months who did not qualify for ESIT or came as a late referral (34-48 months), and those whose continuity of care was impacted by the transition out of Early Supports and need short-term services and help connecting to their next program.

Offers screenings throughout the year to help identify children birth to 3 years old who may need special services. Special services can include occupational, physical and/or speech therapies, or a specialized early childhood program. Screenings will not show conclusively that a child has special needs, but it will indicate if he or she may need further assessment.

Provides educational and therapeutic services to Mount Vernon School District’s preschool children with developmental delays. The classroom settings consist of daily routines for the development of academic, communication, fine and gross motor, social and adaptive skill building. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/language therapy are provided in the classroom as needed.

Offers early support services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. These services include physical, speech, and occupational therapies; early childhood education, infant mental health services, and more.

Evaluates children's growth and development. If any developmental delays are identified, experienced childcare professionals work with parents and therapists to develop a plan to improve speech and/or motor skills as well as assess progress until goals are met. Services in this program include: - Early assessment/identification - Multi-disciplinary evaluations and progress monitoring - Speech therapy, occupational therapy and/or other specialty therapies per individual child needs Educates parents about abnormal behaviors they should look for and how to interact with their children to practice and improve language and motor skills. Work with school districts to transfer services as needed, once a child reaches age 3.

Offers early intervention services to meet the developmental needs of eligible infants and toddlers and the needs of their family related to enhancing the child's development.  Provides Family Resources Coordination, individualized developmental services and parent support opportunities.

Provides early intervention services for children birth to 35 months of age with either 1) a developmental delay, or 2) a diagnosis that is likely to result in a developmental delay. Services are provided in: College Place, Columbia-Burbank, Dayton, Dixie, Kiona-Benton City, Prescott, Prosser, Richland, Starbuck, Touchet, Waitsburg, and Walla Walla. Early intervention team members who support the family may include the following: Family Resource Coordinator (FRC), Birth to Three Teacher, Early Intervention Specialist, Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Physical Therapist (PT), Autism Specialist, Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), and/or Teacher of the Deaf (TOD).

Information and referral regarding disabilities and community resources, newsletter, workshops, seminars and recreational/social events for families. Information provided to parents/guardians of children with a disability or chronic medical condition. Puts parents in touch with special services available to eligible children age birth to three in Thurston, Mason and Grays Harbor counties.

The Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP) is a comprehensive preschool program that provides free services and support to eligible children and their families.

Early intervention provides a collection of services families may need for their infants or toddlers with disabilities. Services may include helping the family find needed services for their child, helping the family understand their child’s developmental growth, and helping the family support their child’s learning and development and successful participation in home and community activities.

Home-based therapy program provides early intervention services (Speech, Occupational, Physical, Oral motor therapies, early education, and Family Resource Coordination) for families and children ages birth to three, with a developmental delay or a diagnosed disability including: -  Down syndrome -  Cerebral palsy -  Autism spectrum disorders   Services are provided in a child's natural environment, a place the child normally is during the day including home, daycare, a relative's home, or a community setting.    Information is shared with the family about child development and strategies are provided to help families feel supported as their child's primary teacher.

Helps children ages birth to ten reach social-emotional, language and communication, cognitive and physical developmental milestones by assisting in the areas of feeding, occupational, physical, social skills and speech and language. All interventions rely on evidence-based practice. Clinic is outfitted with equipment specially designed for the treatment of young children. Staff have expertise in the field of pediatrics using a variety of therapy techniques and approaches.

Provides in home services for children birth to three who have significant delays in cognitive, communication, motor, social or adaptive areas. Parents and staff will create an Individual Family Service Plan that outlines the concerns expressed from parents and family members and identifies the child’s special and unique needs. A Family Resources Coordinator will help coordinate programs and services for families and connect families with needed community resources and support. When a child turns three years of age, the staff helps transition children to preschool services, typically provided by the child’s local school district.
