Provides one-time emergency assistance funds for undocumented immigrants in Benton-Franklin Counties who are dealing with emergencies, like severe illness, loss of a job, accidents, etc., and because of their legal status, do not qualify for other state or federal programs. If applicant is approved, a check in the amount of $250-$400 will be mailed.

Promotes citizen participation and culturally led community development and empowerment of the Latino and immigrant population in Spokane County. Provides community outreach, supportive listening, technical support, and wrap-around services directly to families with issues regarding immigration, education, healthcare, housing, and city resources.

Provides peer counseling, referrals and assistance to Somali and other refugee and immigrant populations. Case managers can assist with filling out immigration and citizenship paperwork, completing housing applications and applications for other benefits including basic food, WIC, SSI/SSDI.   If client requires further assistance, helps them get connected to the appropriate agency. Also provides translation and interpretation and cultural as well as behavioral orientations.

Services may be offered through workshops, group discussions, and individualized support to help participants reduce culture shock, build confidence, and develop the skills needed for successful integration. The program is designed to promote self-sufficiency, informed decision-making, and connection to local resources while honoring participants' cultural backgrounds.
