Call 2-1-1 or text  KITSAPSWS to 898211 to find out if the Kitsap County severe weather shelter is open. Those needing transportation to the closest shelter can call 360-373-3000 to arrange for a ride before 7 p.m.
Counties operate local emergency management coordination during extreme weather events. Emergency management may include opening and operating warming centers during extreme cold weather.
