Assists African diaspora immigrant and refugee households to prevent evictions by negotiating with landlords. Works directly with the Housing Justice Project, helping to interpret, translate, and navigate any cultural differences that may arise between them and immigrant clients. Also provides legal referrals.

Offers case management for youth, 18-24 yrs of age who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. An intake will be conducted to assess the needs and barriers of the youth; they will then be referred to resources in the community that will help them overcome the barriers to reach their full potential.

Provides Veterans with rent assistance, rental deposit assistance, move-in assistance, mortgage assistance, utility assistance, food vouchers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, bus passes or gas vouchers, prescription drug expenses, clothing or tools for work, car repair, storage unit assistance, communication assistance, homeless services, emergency dental costs, and burial/cremation costs. Individual types of assistance have separate requirements and limits.

St. Vincent de Paul of Tacoma–Pierce County operates two service hubs that together provide a continuum of care for community members experiencing crisis, instability, or homelessness. The Community Resource Center, serves individuals and couples across Pierce County. The CRC offers walk-in access five days a week with no appointment required. Services include immediate basic-needs support such as food, clothing, hygiene supplies, and survival gear, as well as housing and shelter navigation for those experiencing homelessness. Case managers also provide assistance with mental health and substance use supports, and offer specialized navigation for Native and bilingual community members. The Family Resource Center, focuses on families with children, multigenerational households, and young adults ages 18–24. The FRC provides bilingual case management and resource navigation tailored to family and young-adult needs, including for Hispanic and immigrant populations. The site also offers on-site showers and laundry for unhoused households, along with comprehensive housing and shelter navigation designed to help families achieve stability. The Community Resource Center does not provide direct rental assistance.

Provides a drop in center that assists with food, clothing, diapers, showers, hygiene items, pet food, laundry facilities, bus fare, and temporary mailing addresses. Advocates are available to help connect individuals to community resources. Offers limited financial assistance in obtaining ID, storage fees, utility and phone bills, and rental applications. Also, provides outdoor gear when available. No overnight shelter or rental assistance.

Provides assistance for Benton and Franklin County Veterans, their families, and the families of deceased Veterans who meet the eligibility criteria for assistance. Community referrals to partner agencies for housing, case management services, VA claims and other services are given when needed. Services may include: utility assistance, rental/mortgage assistance, application fee/background checks for housing or pre-employment, up to 1 week in a motel for homeless veterans, bus passes, food vouchers, burial expenses (up to $1,000), necessary safety equipment required by employer to gain employment, dental assistance (up to $2,000), and childcare assistance.

Provides supportive interventions in the forms of advocacy, referrals, in-kind support, and very limited financial aid to help stabilize individuals and families. Provides support in the areas of employment, home stability, personal identity document search/procurement and problem solving. In-Kind Includes all physical items distributed such as clothing, blankets and personal hygiene items. Household Support Provides limited financial assistance with utilities, screening fees for apartment searches and very limited rental assistance on a case-by-case basis. Employment Offers assistance related to getting or retaining employment. This includes work gear and clothing; licensing and certifications; and/or transportation assistance until the client can secure some income from employment and is more stable and able to address basic costs of living. Identification Documents Helps with the costs of procuring a WA State ID. Also helps with a WA Driver's License if the client has a vehicle that is insured, registered, and used for employment. Helps secure and pay for supportive documentation in order to get a state ID. May also help with immigration paperwork fees as needed, and in partnership with other immigration agencies. Physical Wellness Assists with medication co-pays, reasonable dental and optical fees. Overall program goal is to help clients achieve overall stability in the community and to reach achievable self sufficiency.
