Offers trained navigators who work one-on-one with Pierce County residents who are seeking living wage jobs or college education and are unsure of where to begin. Helps residents determine which employment service or education path will best meet their employment goals, and directly connects callers to education and employment organizations. Also helps WorkForce clients access transportation programs, benefits programs, or other services that help remove barriers to employment or education. Service is provided until the client has connected with the best employment or education program, and barriers to employment have been removed.

Latinos Unidos en Acción ALIANZA (L.U.N.A.A) is a comprehensive youth/ young adults engagement program that provides guidance, representation, academic scholarships and mentorship to equip students to achieve their full potential academically, in professional careers and in their personal life. Offers academic mentorship, workshops, game nights, support groups for first generation students, and LGBTQ+ peer support and workshops for individuals and families.

Military & Veteran Programs is your one-stop shop to accessing your VA Education, Military Tuition Assistance, MyCAA benefits, and additional support services at Olympic College, located at the Bremerton Campus in Bldg. 11. The Military Education Benefits team assists in the processing and certification of educational benefits (VA, TA, MyCAA). The Military Education Benefits team also provides support services including assistance with admissions, eBenefits, Web TA, advising appointments, and referrals.

Classes are organized similarly to college-level credit courses, with similar amounts of homework, student expectations and increased academic difficulty. Daily attendance and participation are expected. Through this program you will learn important skills and information that are essential for college success.

Peninsula College recognizes and appreciates all who have served in the United States Armed Forces. If you are a Veteran, or a survivor, or a dependent of a Veteran working toward a degree or certificate, you may be eligible for Veterans educational benefits. The Veterans Services Office (VSO) acts as a liaison with the Veterans Affairs/Administration for individuals who plan to use their VA educational benefits to attend classes at Peninsula College. Peninsula College assists Veterans and dependents with applying for and managing educational benefits, academic counseling, and financial counseling while attending school. Our VSO also provides disability counseling and mental health support services. Students have access to our Veteran center for meetings, events, and dedicated study time.

Veteran Navigators offer the following services for incoming and current veteran students: -  Helps incoming students choose educational and vocational goals. -  Provides assistance with benefit paperwork as well as paperwork relating to other federal grants or scholarships they may be eligible for. -  Assists the potential veteran/dependent/spouse student with completing the admission process for the college.   Offer a 25% tuition discount to veterans that have received an Honorable discharge from the military.   Offers eligible veterans, National Guard members, and their spouses who are using veteran's benefits early registration for our classes/programs.

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) and Support Services for Students with Disabilities (SSSD) Project mission is to increase the persistence, graduation, and transfer rates of first-generation and low-income students, and students with disabilities at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Our goal is to empower students toward self-advocacy and self-sufficiency. We encourage students to complete their degree or certificate and transfer to a four-year college where possible.
