Provides outreach and case management services for people with substance use disorders (SUD) in need of a connection with peers who have similar experiences and can meet clients where they're at to provide hope for a better life. All Recovery Outreach Specialists are trained Recovery Coaches and Certified Peer Counselors in long term recovery from SUD and/or have lived similar experiences, i.e., homelessness, incarceration, involvement with Department of Corrections or law enforcement, or close connection to SUD during their life. The program is 100% voluntary--no one is forced to participate and everyone is welcome. Staff make referrals to local resources and organizations to meet the individual needs of clients. May refer clients to SUD treatment for behavioral health services, but does not provide these services in house.

Provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. The Lifeline is comprised of a national network of over 200 local crisis centers, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices. Veterans can call the hotline and press 1 to reach the Veterans Hotline and speak confidentially with a counselor through a program developed in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. American Indians and Alaska Natives can text NATIVE to 741741 to connect with someone at the Native and Strong Helpline.

Manages state assistance programs that help participants pay for attendant care and non-care related assistance services designed to help older adults and people with disabilities remain independent.   Assistance may be provided in any of three settings:   -  Participant's home   -  Assisted living facility -  Adult family home   Community First Choice -  Provides attendant care and non-care related assistance services to older adults who would otherwise require nursing home placement    -  Program participants can choose from whom they receive care services, including hiring family members as care providers     Community Options Program Entry System (COPES) -  Generally provided to clients who are also enrolled in Community First Choice   Medicaid Personal Care -  Provides personal care services for clients who do not require nursing-home-level care   Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) -  Offers all services through one provider.   -  PACE can be funded either through Medicaid, Medicare or private-pay.     New Freedom -  Participants manage their own service plan and budget and take primary responsibility for obtaining services.   Medicaid Transformation Demonstration Medicaid Alternative Care (MAC) - Supports unpaid caregivers of Medicaid recipients over the age of 55 Targeted Supports for Older Adults (TSOA) - Supports older adults over the age of 55 who do not receive Medicaid  Participants enrolled in one of the in-home care programs may also qualify for other forms of support including assistive technology and personal emergency response systems.

Provides 12-step recovery programs for compulsive gamblers and others who believe they may have a gambling problem. Self-help methods are stressed in recognizing compulsive gambling as an emotional problem. Program is used to gain abstinence and improved daily living. Methods include emphasis on sponsorship, critical thinking and problem solving, and gaining one's own enhanced spiritual values. Goals include attainment of serenity and abstinence. Gam-anon meetings for family and support persons are held at some locations.  Meeting locations are held throughout Washington State.

It is against the law for a business to fire or otherwise retaliate against a worker for filing a complaint about a possible violation of their workplace rights. Interpreter services are available upon request with one day notice.

Women’s Hearth is a drop-in day center in downtown Spokane–a safe space for women who have experienced poverty, trauma and/or homelessness to find a “hearth” of welcome, respect, and community. Women’s Hearth provides activities, classes, social service referrals and housing-search case management in a compassionate and supportive environment 5 days a week. Participants also have access to phones, computers, internet, healthy food, hygiene supplies, and showers.

Provides food assistance through local neighborhood chapters via food pantries or through a gift card at grocery store.   Not all areas of King County are served by a chapter, and not all existing neighborhood chapters provide help with food.

Provides on call, in person and over the phone support to vulnerable youth. Works closely with existing emergency youth shelter providers including Friends of Youth, YouthCare and Cocoon House.   Current Safe Place sites include: Metro Transit buses, YMCAs of Greater Seattle and the King County Library System. Operates the primary telephone access point for all those in King County experiencing an emotional crisis.   Trained volunteer phone workers assist callers in personal crises by offering emotional support as well as community resource information and referral. A crisis may involve threats of violence, thoughts of despair or suicide, relationship troubles or any other situation which causes emotional distress.   Those not in emotional crises may also call to learn about counseling and other mental health care resources.   Connection to professional responders when needed, including: - Mobile Crisis Teams (MCT) - Designated Crisis Responders (DCR) (i.e. outreach and involuntary commitment) - Children's Crisis Outreach Response System (CCORS), a service of YMCA - Next Day Mental Health Appointments (NDA)
