King County Emergency Family Shelter Intake offered by Mary's Place
Coordinates intake into emergency shelter for families at multiple locations throughout King County. Clients are screened for shelter openings that night. Will not turn families away in severe weather.
Coordinates emergency shelter for families with children as well as people who are pregnant, at multiple locations across King County. Once accepted into a shelter, families will be guaranteed an ongoing nightly spot in that shelter program. Shelters accessed through the emergency family shelter intake line include (but are not limited to):

Operates a severe weather shelter between November and March for all genders, regardless of veteran status. Meals provided for shelter guests in the morning and evening.
Provides a severe weather shelter when temperatures fall below 40 degrees for up to 30 people.
Building has restrooms, showers, laundry machines, a coffee maker, a soup pot, cots, sleeping mats, and blankets.

Provides overnight shelter for men, women, children, and pets, who are in need of a safe space and warm place to stay.

Emergency Family Shelter offered at Rescue Mission Family Campus
Provides emergency housing, meals, and case management for homeless families with children and pregnant women. Families are housed in their own room. No one has to leave during the day. Drop-ins are not accepted, please call before coming.
Provides emergency housing and meals for families with children or women who are pregnant. Clients are expected to attend case management sessions to set goals, receive housing/job/service information and referral, and to track progress toward goals. An excellent on site program for youth 6-17 provides positive role models, mentoring, and fun for children staying at the shelter. Also offers an on-site preschool. Each family has its own room. The Shelter is open 24 hours, so no one needs to leave the shelter during the daytime. Phones and computers are available for job/service search and setting appointments.

Men's Shelter offered at Rescue Mission - Downtown Tacoma Campus
Provides 80 beds in a dorm area. As well as accommodating eighty men at night, the facility accommodates day sleepers who work night shifts.

Extended stay is possible for men who have jobs and who are trying to become self-sufficient. Men are guaranteed a spot for 30 days if they have not stayed with the Rescue Mission in the past 90 days. The Good Neighbor Cafe is on site and offers free breakfast, lunch and supper. Other services at the Downtown Tacoma Campus include:
- free showers and hygiene items,
- free laundry facilities,
- mail service,
- and a free clothing room open Wednesday from 1pm-3pm.

Access to overnight services for the homeless under severe weather conditions.
Provides homeless single adults have a safe place to sleep. Services include: 3 meals daily, shower access, laundry, lockers, housing location/counseling, weekly onsite medical and behavioral health treatment, medical respite program, and limited transportation to and from downtown Port Angeles. The shelter can accommodate well-behaved pets, emotional or service animals, and adult couples. Shelter in place is activated during "Blue Flag" extreme weather conditions.

Young Adult Shelter offered at Community Youth Services Brighter Futures Youth Center
Provides overnight shelter to youth ages 18 to 24. Sign-up during drop-in hours at Rosie's Place or visit shelter when it opens. Adds more beds during cold weather.

Typically, 18 beds are available for participants as well as two crisis beds. Shelter beds are assigned based on vulnerability, yet overnight staff do their best to accommodate all young people who need a place to sleep. More beds become available in cold weather.
