Housing Choice Voucher Program - Project-Based Vouchers.

Provides HUD subsidized housing for families.   Rent is calculated at 30% of gross income.   Water, sewer and garbage are included in the rent, tenant is responsible for electric, telephone and cable.   Units range from 1-3 bedrooms.   Four of the units are wheelchair accessible.   Also has 2 laundry rooms, a rec room with full kitchen, fenced play ground and a basketball court.   Current wait list 1-5 years long, depending on unit size.

Develops and manages permanent low-cost housing throughout the Puget Sound region, in King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap and Island counties. Units range in size from single room occupancy (SRO) rooms for single adults to multiple-bedroom units for families. Offers residents limited case management, classes and other client assistance, through resident services department.

A broad continuum of housing programs through the housing resource center which provide rental assistance and counseling to at-risk or homeless families seeking permanent, stable housing.

Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) Public and Managed Housing programs are VHA-owned and managed properties that provide income-based housing assistance throughout Clark County, and includes housing opportunities for low-income families, seniors, and special needs individuals.

Low income people can apply for assistance paying for their rent.Once you are accepted for Section 8, you pay a small percentage of the actual costs.

Provides rental subsidies for eligible low-income households to use for housing of their own choosing.   Units must be located within Renton, and must be inspected and approved by the Housing Authority.

Provides public housing for homeless families, seniors, or persons with disabilities. Rent is based upon resident's adjusted income. Services provided may include case management, advocacy, referrals, education, and networking with other professionals and social service agencies in the community on behalf of residents.

The Section 8 Housing Assistance Program is a federally funded program that assists low-income families by subsidizing a portion of their monthly rent and providing a utility allowance. It provides direct payments to landlords and covers the difference between what can be reasonably afforded by the tenant and reasonable rental charges of the landlord. To qualify for the program, a family must meet the low-income guidelines set by HUD and rental units must meet Housing Quality Standards and local codes, and pass an inspection by the HACC.

Connects people with community resources to help meet basic needs such as food and housing; including requests for emergency shelter, rental assistance, referrals for affordable housing and problem solving help with landlord/tenant issues.

Provides an 80-unit, three-story housing with independent living one- and two-bedroom apartments for seniors. Complex includes a community room, library with large-screen TV, elevators, community computers with internet access, elevators, and a van for residential outings and laundry on each floor. Building and units are wheelchair accessible.

Owns and operates seven multi-family affordable housing properties throughout Pierce County. These apartments vary between 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units, and are offered at or below HUD's Fair Market Rental Rates for Pierce County. Applications are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. PCHA does NOT require applicants for these units be recipients for any subsidy program.
