The Napavine Municipal Court is a court of limited jurisdiction and provides exclusive original jurisdiction over alleged violations of all City of Napavine ordinances and some state statutes. These charges may include non-traffic infractions, traffic infractions, criminal misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors. The court is responsible for collecting all fines and penalties arising from these violations, and processes and maintains all court related documents. Unpaid fines are sent to a collection agency. The municipal court schedules all hearings and supervises related services including indigent defense, probation services, electronic home monitoring, and community service.

King County Superior Court is a general jurisdiction trial court with responsibility for: - Civil matters involving more than $300, unlawful detainers and injunctions - Felony criminal cases - Misdemeanor criminal cases not otherwise provided for by law   - Family law, including dissolutions, child support, adoptions, parentage and domestic-violence protection matters - Probate and guardianship matters - Juvenile offender matters   - Juvenile dependencies, including abused and neglected children, children in need of services, at-risk youth and truancies - Mental illness and involuntary commitment matters Superior Court judges are available to perform civil wedding ceremonies.   Drop-in child care provided by the Children's Home Society at the Regional Justice Center while children's parents appear in court.

Current civil jurisdiction for actions filed in District Court is $75,000 and the Small Claims jurisdiction in $5,000. The court's jurisdiction also covers civil anti-harassment actions, stalking, name changes, impound hearings, and certain lien foreclosures. Also handles traffic infractions for such violations as speeding, negligent driving, failure to stop, driving without liability insurance, and driving without a driver's license. Other citations include red light camera and parking violations.

The Tenino Municipal Court adjudicates all civil and criminal violations of the City Charter and City Ordinances for the City of Tenino.     Criminal Court is held once a month on a Tuesday, and Infraction Court is held on the same day. Usually it is the 3rd Tuesday of the month, but the date can change.

The Court handles traffic and nontraffic criminal misdemeanor cases, traffic and nontraffic infractions and school zone and parking violations filed with the Kirkland Municipal Court. Criminal Citations: If a criminal misdemeanor citation is received in the mail or from a police officer for Kirkland Municipal Court, a court hearing is mandatory. If you have questions, you may contact the Court to inquiry if your hearing is required in-person or by a Zoom hearing. Failure to appear will result in a warrant being issued for the violator's arrest. Look for your arraignment court date on the citation. Traffic Infraction Citations: The Individual who received the citation must respond within 30 days by either requesting a hearing, paying the fine in full or contacting the court to inquiry about a payment plan. After 30 days, a late penalty is added. Unpaid balances will be sent to a collection agency and may result in a driver's license suspension. School Zone and Parking Citation: The Individual who received the citation must respond within 30 days by either requesting a hearing, paying the fine in full or contacting the court to inquiry about a payment plan. After 30 days a late penalty is added. Unpaid balances will be sent to a collection agency. The driver is denied new license tabs until all fines are paid.
